This is Carol Jiani and this is my vocals i recorded this original version that was relased on Atlantic Records that became the hit. I re recorded the song again with Ian Levin i am the original vocalist thank you. "HIT AND RUN LOVER" has remained my signature tune and i am still perfoming both songs at shows.x

Fun fact: In 1982, Carol Jiani (Hit & Run Lover) recorded vocals for "Get Up and Do It Again". The song was a hit, but she was contractually unavailable to perform as Suzy Q. "Get on Up and Do it Again" was re-recorded by Mizz lead singer, Michelle Mills.

Jeez what's the matter on producing this kind of music and getting to the top of the charts nowadays? Can't they stop just listening to it but making it again? To be more precise: Can't they get on up and do it again???

@hanslesolo9 жыл бұрын
+Vitor Assis Santos they won't get on up and do it again because they would say it's too expensive(the more musician,the bigger the cost) also they want to promote overtly sexualised music with dumbed down messages. Contemporary r n b has no beauty or compassion to it or great musicianship with downloading not helping

@beaumonde313 Jiani's version actually came out first in early 1981,a year before Mills aka Suzy Q's version so it means that Mills remade the song.I prefer Jiani's version,more soulful and emotion in the singing.
@bsmith95064 жыл бұрын
Just listened to Mill's version for the first time (was unaware of it), doesn't hold a candle to Jiani's version. Not only is the bass bumpin, but the two guitars syncopated against each other .., one copying the bass line somewhat, and the other playing that funky lick (de-da -De De De De Ding-aDee...) ..KILLAAAA!!!
