TMP Cayuga Open Lapping (Subaru BRZ

I ran 1:27s for most of the day while keeping it in 3rd gear (except for the straights) but decided to try downshifting in the tighter sections and ran a best of 1:26.7 during my final session (optimal time of 1:25.8 according to RaceChrono). I'm still learning the course as I've only been out to TMP a few times before so please drop any suggestions you might have in the comments on where I can improve.

Cayuga is a really good track for light low powered cars. Heavy cars like my g37 struggle on the tight twisty corners but nice laps man

Thanks! I'm using a phone app called RaceChrono but there's also Harry's Lap Timer as an alternative. You'll need the app plus an OBDII reader to pull data from your car (i.e. rpms).

Nice driving! I will take my Alfa Giulia Ti there now that I found out about this place! Wanted to see how she does on a track since I bought it! Only down side is the car is on run flat tires, might be disappointing.

If it's your first time on the track, I recommend taking a driving school first. There are also other tracks you can look into such as Mosport, Shannonville, and Grand Bend. The Gulia is a fantastic car and I wish I had one!

What device gives you all the heads up display for your video ?

Android phone + Race Chrono app + Bluetooth OBD2 reader The app itself records the data from the phone and OBD2 then overlays them onto the video recorded from the phone's camera. The Race Chrono app can also connect to external GPS (more accurate than the phone) or external action cams like GoPro. You can also look into other options such as Harry's Lap Timer, Race Render, and Garmin Catalyst.

Someplace push too hard, so the tire is too hot. Maybe try push one lap and slow down a little bit for a lap. Tire too hot is very dangerous.

Hold back to let the tires cool down? Where's the fun in that!? (just joking) I was on factory-sized tires (215 wide) with very little camber so it was easy to overheat the tires. I've since increased the negative camber and tire width so hopefully it'll be better now.

@@pd5041 There is Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (aka "Mosport") but it's significantly more expensive and less open lapping days available.
