MSV= Simplicity. Not taking anything to his head. Gives the credit to the entire team and the director. Great Composer with such humbleness.

Meaningless Comment. TMS was totally sidelined by ILaiyaraja only, Not by MSV. MSV was mostly right in his judgements in judging which song will suit which singer. You cannot expect each and every song to be given to TMS. MSV was also under pressure from MGR to utilise SPB & Yesudas. So, he balanced it so beautifully by giving appropriate songs to each singer. Moreover after 1979 TMS Voice started showing strains slightly due to ageing. MSV was right in his wisdom & judgement.

@@vasudevancv8470not only Ilayaraja. MGR and Ilayaraja both linked in this issue. MGR supports malayali jesudoss Ilayaraja supports Spb due to recommendation by his guru GK venkatesh. Spb's uncle is G.k. venkatesh.Now clear. Voice is not issue. So many examples after 1979. 1. Nan oru rasiyilla Raja 2. Amaidikku per than shanthi 3. Erimalai eppadi porukkum 4..kadavool ninaithan mananal koduthan 5. Unnai dinam thedum thalaivan 6. Amma nee sumanda pillai 7.Nandoorudu nariyoorudu etc Finally in Tamil cini world so many hipocrats and cunning.. TMS not like that and have no background in any way. Dr. Kalignar only supports and 5:16 honour TMS ayya 5:16

Actually in a temple function MSV asked TMS to sing Adi yennadi Raakkamma but he refused to do so which caused a little bit of a bitter incident that occurred between them. Your statement in a way is totally baseless. If the voice of TMS got strained, after a cold war between Yesudoss and MSV, Yesudoss refused to sing songs in his music after which why TMS was given a chance by MSV to sing all the songs for Sivaji in Sumangali released in 1984.?Without knowing all the facts don't react senselessly.

@@ramani.g390 I am talking with facts and sense only. I stick to whatever I said. That incident mentioned by you never exploded to a situation of any kind of non-reconciliation between the Two. Even after that reported incident, TMS sang many great songs under MSV like Naadha mayamaana iraiva for Mridanga Chakravarthy, Maanikka VeeNaiyai meetugindraL for Paritchaikku Neram Aachu, Sindhanai ThOndri arivu vaLarndhadhu for Tharaasu, etc. That trivial incident mentioned by you was certainly Not the reason Nor led to any serious rift between the Two. It's an irrefutable fact that TMS Voice started showing strains due to ageing factor long ago in some of the songs (composed by not only MSV, but others too), like malar Koduthen for Thirisoolam, Sindhu nadhi karai Oram for Nalladhoru Kudumbam, AAnandham viLaiyaadum Veedu for Santhippu, Paasa Malare anbil viLaindha Vaasa Malare for Needhipathi. (I am an admirer of both TMS & MSV, but, facts are irrefutable). MSV was not an immatured Composer to make any song sung by TMS Or Yesudas Or SPB. He was very shrewd in selection of singers based on the song situation and based on the composition of a song. He even made Jayachandran sing the Song Oru Oasai indri mounamaaga in the background for the film Paritchaikku Neram AAchu. Apart from these facts, MGR was also instrumental for TMS's declining market as he preferred and insisted on MSV to use the Voices of Yesudas & SPB also for his films wherever possible. Even for the film "Pallandu Vaazhga" under KV Mahadevan"s Music, Yesudas sang 3 Duets and 1 Solo and only one song was given to TMS and for another MGR Film Oorukku uzhaippavan all the songs were sung by Yesudas only. For Maduraiyai meetta Sundara Pandiyan, MGR reportedly insisted on MSV to use Yesudas only for the song Thaayagathin Sudhanthurame EngaL kolgai. But, MSV firmly told MGR that Song would never suit Yesudas and preferred TMS only. This was also shared by Kavignar Muthulingam in an interview which's very much available in the You Tube. These are all irrefutable facts. I don't want to prolong this debate any further.

@@vasudevancv8470 Yes, MSV was a master in choosing singers. He never allowed personal differences of opinion to come in the way of professional judgment. Just to give 2 examples: Imayam had both Yesudos and TMS sing for Shivaji Ganesan. Both songs were super hits. Of course SPB sang for Jai Ganesh. In Trisoolam, all three singers sang for Shivaji (3 roles) and it turned out to be a musical blockbuster. And one can give many more. Same with MGR movies also. As you say, he balanced the various demands in a judicious manner and in fact used it to his advantage to the effect that his music got a new sheen through the 70s and even into the the first half of 80s.
