Good luck with your surgery Tracy. I owe you such a big thankyou. For the last six weeks I have been making bags... and loving it! I've tried before and made a mess of the lining, but the way you explained it is just brilliant! Thank you SO much. The one I am making now has some bead embroidery on it. I have had so much satisfaction from learning how to do this, and I can combine other crafts I do, like bead work and polymer clay jewellery and use them on the bags. The tshort tote bags are amazing! They will hold SO much from the grocery store. And the straps are long enough to go on my shoulder, and it's so much better than those plastic bags, cutting into your fingers, and busting open! Your videos are just wonderful! My daughter got me interested in up-cycling clothing and told me how great your tutorials are. She was doing the sewing and I was hand painting denim. Since I started watching you, in the last month I have bought myself a new sewing machine (haven’t sewn in 30 years), bought a bunch of doilies, linens, and leather jackets at an estate auction, and made my first purse! Thank you for all your creative inspiration! I do a “no-sew” version of the t-shirt bag by making a string out of the leftover t-shirt material, threading it through the hem of the shirt bottom, cinching it up & tying it into a knot. You just flip it back to right side out and voila! I hope that made sense!

Ok so this isn't about the awesome tutorial but- as someone who has had tendonitis in my right upper arm since high school- I am so HAPPY for you for the surgery!!! It will be nice not to be in pain. That pain is soo soo intense. 😫 I don't even know how I got it. I woke up screaming in pain one day. I didn't do sports or anything intense. I'm 37 now so I've had this pain for around 20 or more years. 😕 Anyway yay for the surgery I am praying it goes well and it heals up nicely and quickly. ❤

Your video reminded me that surgery is an option vs. living with the intermittent pain. Thank you for that reminder I appreciate you sharing your story and gorgeous thrift flip DIYS. Good luck with your surgery! I had my shoulder done in April and am almost completely recovered. (I think it was because I actually followed the Dr's orders this time) My grands live far away too and I only see them a couple times per year. I'd Love to have them nearby. Maybe someday!

Great ideas. Thanks for sharing. I recently found a jeans jacket/blazer style at the thrift store. It looks like it was created for my Grandmother who is in her 80s. It has some machine embroidery on the lapel and pockets. Can you do a video on how this can be up cycled into a Boho chic jacket, please? It's such a good piece but the decorations make it look frumpy. Thanks so much.

Yes Tracey when bleaching doesn't it make the denim fabric weaken and easy to tear ? I have been scared to bleach anything thinking that afterwards I wouldn't be able to wear them anymore because they would rip easily.....🤔😳

Yes, it is certainly possible. I've learned to test my jeans to see if they bleach fast. I would be afraid to leave the bleach sit on for very long. I may try a color remover, it's supposed to be easier on fabrics.🤗🤗🤗💞💞💞
