Thank you for saying this. I didn't even know who he was but I feared the same when I started getting hate recommendations about him on YT. I hope someone has the decency to hold that ex of his who started this mess accountable, not to mention rigorously evaluate the dangers of social media and cancel culture. Anyone would become a suicide risk if subjected to global online bullying. It spreads like wildfire, so imagine how isolating and scary it is to be on the receiving end of it. People who don't know what it's like, and cannot try to empathize, have the guts to ask why he didn't simply post his side of the story online. Once people start tarnishing your reputation, it catches. It's hard to change their minds, especially if you're fighting a mental health battle already. You can't win even if you engage. You sink into the mud slinging and people find ways to frame you for being suspect. May this poor young boy rest in peace. Whatever mistakes he made, he was freaking 31. He made something out of himself from nothing. He didn't have a strong social foundation. He had the right to evolve and grow in life. We all need that space in our 20s. May he rest in peace, and may we work on reigning in the toxic realities of defamation and cancel culture.

Shortly after Aaron Carter passed away tmz published photos from the scene where he died. He passed away in his bathtub so the pictures were of clothes on the floor and a jacket that was soaking wet (strange). But there also was the bathtub with the water still in which had turned a horrible shade of green. Fortunately police had already covered and removed his body before whoever it was took pictures. Sadly it was Aaron Carter’s own Mom who sold the pictures to tmz after they were sent to her.
