I absolutely loved this game as a kid, before you were old enough to look up reviews online you just got better at the shit controls and didn't think about it too much
@TXFDA
@TXFDA 2 жыл бұрын
I mean, that's being a kid for ya. Especially back in the day when you had to rely on magazines to give you some idea about games. Or just relying entirely on if the box looked cool. You'd get a game, and you'd deal with it, whether it was bad or not, because that's the game you got. I mean, one of my favorite games growing up, was Enter the Matrix on PS2. And by all accounts, that game is considered a pile of hot garbage. The graphics weren't great, the animations were pretty bad, the controls kinda sucked, the story was nonsense. But I liked Matrix, saw the game in the store, and begged my parents to get it for me. I got it, played it, and ended up really enjoying it, despite all the jank. I rented countless games from Blockbuster that were horrible, but I put up with it, because what else was I gonna do? Make my parents drive back to Blockbuster to rent me another game? No, I was gonna play the hell out of the game I got, and I was gonna force myself to like it. And most of the time, I figured out how to work around the bad parts and did actually enjoy it.

Due to being able to reverse reversals, you can actually play against someone OP like Jeff Jarrett and literally have 2 straight minutes of perfect reversal timing resulting in 2 minutes of the wrestlers just twitching until you or the AI fails to reverse another reversal.

The main problems for me are : - no female wrestlers - the roster is way too small , just 25 wrestlers and when you start you get just 18 - the lack of game modes - the entrances are too short - the lack of moves I would not really complain that much if it would be a 100% female TNA Impact! game with 25 Knockouts .

"Mash square to win." You do realize that every WWE game has a single button for reversals. Master the reverse button and familiarize with the move set, and anyone's a pro.

People did ask for this game, at the time a lot of people wanted an alternative wrestling game to the yearly wwe games (and they still do), TNA was also quite popular at the time so a lot of people really wanted this game. I don't know where you got the idea of "Nobody asked for this game" because they did.. a lot

From what I’ve read online this game would have been great if they had included the things they removed from it.

Lol I asked for this game and I enjoyed it a lot 😁. Still play it even today and always there was a home console sequel.

Scott Steiner's Big Brain math promo is precisely why I can't quit wrestling. You just never know when you'll get GOLD like that.

People definitely were asking for this game. With today's examples like 2k20, it's easy to forget... but before we were "spoiled" by jank like that, the earlier WWE games still had a bunch of problems (and a bunch of deliberate bullshit) even if they were superior to the current ones. People were really pumped for another company having a go. It didn't pan out, but for all we knew at the time, it could've. Would've been nice if it had. If they'd actually made a series-worthy contender, we'd probably have MUCH better WWE games nowadays.

Am I the only one who see similarities between this game and WWE All Stars? It's like, these games even have the same menu sounds, and gameplay is kinda the same, but All Stars just feels better :1

That is because wwe bought the crew that made the tna game then they made wwe all stars, thats why the animations are the same in the mayority

I was never a TNA fan but I rented this game once around the time it came out and to be perfectly honest I had a pretty good time with it over the weekend. Its far from great but the roster was pretty nice and the graphics were geat. The Story mode was pretty interesting too. Great review and video though. First time stumbling on your channel. Gonna check out some other videos!

There are a lot of good aspects and it can be a lot of fun, but there’s also a lot of clunky controls and weird movements. Still looks incredible though even by today’s standards Thanks man, appreciate you checking out my dumb videos ❤️
