A lot of respect for either digging up the scripts for these or listening back and re-recording them. I know that’d be easier than re-reviewing them all but still. I finished watching them in order a little while ago, but with some stuff like the PPVs and such not all being in the playlist this is a nice gesture to have it all together

It’s strange how similar circumstances have brought people together to enjoy MarkyD. I discovered this channel during the pandemic. I wasn’t working or doing anything productive during covid, just sitting at home, drawing unemployment and also drinking WAY too much. Combine that with a long term relationship coming to an end, and things weren’t exactly going good. But MarkyD was there during a dark period of my life. I’ve now been sober around two and a half years but this is still one of my favorite channels.

Watching this back, it was more along the lines of which company had the less crappy show instead which company had the "better" show. WWE during time was unwatchable and terribly cringe-worthy while TNA was downright awful in its attempt to be WCW 2.0. Thank you for taking the bullet for us and recapping this time period. I’m going to be honest. I actively flipped between both shows every single week during this time! It felt so exciting! But it says so much to me that I remember almost every segment from most of these RAW’s, and less than half of TNA’s segments. I also remember way more great matches from TNA. Styles, Joe, Kaz, Chris Daniels, The Beautiful People, ODB, RVD, Sting. TNA STACKED, but they couldn’t write good TV
@orm396610 ай бұрын
I'm maybe the opposite but only because everyone in TNA interested me so their promos even stick out in memory, while WWE felt very very weak at this time and things like DX were just brutally cringy so I blocked them out. Hornswoggle, Big Show, Guest Hosts, First Title Sheamus, old Kofi Kingston. Just so maybe boring things in WWE back then.

For my money, post-2000… TNA (circa 2002-2013) had the best wrestling television shows. Even in the beginning, Vince Russo played a perfect heel, Raven was still a big name, Sting returned to wrestling, so did Nash, the rise of AJ Styles. Even Dusty and Zbyszko were great in their roles. It was edgy, the 12 star match thing was still fresh & hadn’t been done do death yet. Great time to be a wrestling fan. Even the cheesy stuff was good. 😂🤷🏾♂️
