The Packers and Jets pretty much shut down Stroud knowing his best two receivers were out. If that remains to be the case, the Texans, regardless of their winning record right now, will continue to trend downward whilst the Jets who are healthy and approaching a bye and a somewhat easy schedule will be trending upward. My point is, records (just like stats) don't always tell the whole story. That said, the Jets still aren't making the playoffs and would be dispatched in the Wild Card game even if they miraculously did.
