If anyone's wondering, the russian speech here is an Oath of the Soviet partisan: The english translation is following: "I, a citizen of the great Soviet Union, a faithful son of the heroic Russian people, swear that I will not let go of my arms until the last fascist bastard on earth is destroyed. For the burnt cities and villages, for the death of our children, for torture, violence and abuse of my people, I swear to avenge cruelly, mercilessly and tirelessly. Blood for blood! ok so, this thing gave me a bit of inspiration, so let me share what I imagined with you boys it would be the end of an episode of a series about TNO. A tank rolls up, with men on it. As the tank nears the camera (that is in a ditch on the side of the road), the camera focuses on a young man,i n his early 20's. He is the main character of the "Russian Front story arc". We followed this young man since 1962, through his early teens as an insouciant young boy in Warlord Russia, to his late teenage years, where his isolated household got caught up in the fighting between 2 factions. As his house is destroyed, he joins the army that defended him (make your own headcanon, I would go for the West Russian Revolutionnary Front). As he fights in the struggle to reunite Russia, he proves his courage and his genious, becoming a lieutenant or captain by his 25th anniversarry (at most), through his sheer bravery and pure competence. We are in 1972 now a spirited and experienced soldier, he seeks to fight for the Dream of a United Russia that his grandfather talked about so much about, while they heard gunfire during the warlord years, as the old man would lament that brothers killed brothers for ideology, making the Rodina bleed day after day,as the Nazi Eagle feasts upon Russia's heart. The young man jumps off the tank as it stops. A dozen or so men, many older than their officier, jump off too. The sound of the mud under their boots reminds the young Lieutenant of what he heard from veterans, back in the days, german panzer hated this mud. He prayed that the germans never adapted, laying in their own self-congratulatory reflexes based on old glories. All of this happends while the music plays in the back ground. They start diging trenches, looking at their surroundings with a tactical eye as the camera flies over them. The radio is buzzing between hundreds of squads, as this little "ant" of a squad in accompanied by thousands of other little squads, all part of something bigger, regiments,divisions, army corps, front command, things that we see as the camera slowly backtracks into the sky, as we see these entities revealed through an eye in the sky, then fading to a strategical map on a table, as the leader of this united Russia (for me it would be Zhukov, but as I said, make your own canon) puts his hand next to the map, as he deeply thinks about the coming war. He points his finger to a random point. The camera zooms on the finger, and as the leader mutters an anxious but determined "There...". It then suddently cuts to a close up of our main character as the music nearly ends.He is looking through binoculars. The camera quickly cuts to what he is seeing through his binoculars as the music ends. A german helmet. A german MG team. An entire german company, that is preparing their defenses in a tree line opposed to our squad's position in their own treeline, separated by a flat green field. Then, the binoculars stop slowly moving through the treeline. A german officier, probably the same rank as the one we follow, is looking through his own binoculars. The two rival officiers look at each other for a second, with nothing but a cold wind in their ears. The german officer brings his binoculars to his chest first. A look of contempt and determination on his face. He seems to mutter something. An insult? A challenge to come and fight? An ominous "so it begins"? Our young officier thinks as he brings his own binoculars back to his chest. He closes his eyes. He takes a deep breath. The screen cuts to black. A chilly wind is still here, then stops. Silence. A few seconds of silence. Then, while the screen is still black, a single gunshot. The crack of the bullet. Then shouts. Lots of them, as the only thing we distinguish through the vocal deluge is the voice of a man in his thirties yelling in russian "SHIT, SNIPER, RETURN FIRE". The gunfire starts as thousands of bullets and years of hatred, desire for vengeance and personnal losses pour down the field after the few seconds of total silence and peace. The last seconds of peace. The Second Great Patriotic War as begun. (sorry, that was a long one)

...Shouldn't that be the *Third* Great Patriotic War? The first one was Napoleon's invasion of Russia. The Russian Orthodox Church denounced him as Antichrist and thus basically declared a holy war. Stalin then used that imagery in the fight against Hitler's invasion, making that the *second* Great Patriotic War. Thus, this would be the third.

Though as far as I can see, it is not going to come early as the project is literally massive, as the devs would like to polish 60s first before continuing with the 70s. It looks like OFN is going to get some love, though, so that's cool.
