I come from the rurals where respect is part of who we are, literally that's one thing I learnt from the youngest age. When I finally got to live in the city I was so shocked at how when you're respectful you're considered stupid. I would even see in professional spaces since I was working while in varsity that respect was somehow considered a weakness. This song right here is a reminder to me that I was raised right. Respect will always be respect and it adds on to you instead of taking away. There's blessing in respect. There's self-love in respect. There's life in respect. Thank you for good music. my wife is a hard core TNS fan from the first time since she heard Madlokovu and was tearfully in rage during that difficult time when Madlokovu was being humiliated by Kaybe embarrassing, undignified comments about TNS which we all cringe to remember. When BANOMONA hit the airwaves that song played on repeat at home like the whole day for weeks and was her ringing tone; all the kids including the twoo year old would singing it along word for word. so when I saw this now, i connected the speakers and asked her who it was. She couldn''t identify Madlokovu,s voice at all! She was like this is Liquideep and Maskandi Bhekumuzi Luthuli collab. And she was like damn, this song is so hot, i love it. When I told her it was TNS she refused to believe me UNTIL she so it with her eyes! now im being forced to repeat it and i fear that one month fiasco of repeats is going to start all over again!!!
