These kids were singing since they were 5 years old. And I mean, just in their homes, not in competitions. When they grew up a little, is when they joined the competition... where they all met. Afterwards, they formed a trio.

They’re grown up now 🤗 Keif is 16, Mackie will be 16 soon, and Francis is 15 now. They have solo performances for now, until after the pandemic. As a Keifer Believer, I recommend “Rainbow” by Keifer. Of course, they are still training their new voices, but they are making a lot of progress. Btw, they didn’t win this show 😔 but we are still more than proud of them, even now 💛🖤

The movie was based on the 1981 Broadway Musical in which the role of the character and the song was built around and by JENNIFER HOLLIDAY (who was only 21 compared to Jhud who was 25 in the film). Jennifer HOLLIDAY won both a Tony and a Grammy for her performance. Sadly, Dreamgirls is pretty much her only legacy and I only sad sadly because it gets erased a little more slowly everytime the song and/or Dreamgirls gives the credit to Hudson. And you two should really feel bad, HOLLIDAY was born and raised in Texas (Houston)
