I'm genuinely excited about this match, because I have no idea who is actually going to win. I'd say Hobbs by beating Joe; Joe still retains a title, Wardlow looks strong because he didn't take the L, and that result can flow into any number of further stories. And Hobbs is the one who gains the most from a win, whereas a loss just shows that he wasn't really needed for this angle anyway.

One idea AEW could do if wardlow wins is have Samoa Joe defend his ROH world television championship against Wardlow TNT championship in a winner takes all match at Ring of Honor final pay per view in December. This could allow Tony to fuse the TNT championship and the ROH television championship into the TBS television championship 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!
