I was 14 when Tell N Tales came out and me as a guitarist already playing for 4 years was heavy into all the top shred players , when I heard LeTekro first time my jaw dropped , very unique player and own sound , so it was a Saturday afternoon and I saw a flyer at the local music store for an all ages show same day -Cacaphony opening up for TNT - I had a chance to Jason Becker and Marty Friedman open up for Ronnie LeTekro in the same show ...I went to a pay phone to try and reserve tickets -sold out..! ...I was pissed for days .!

I played The album Intuition endless times when as a teenager ...this album and White Lion Pride were my all time favorites..because of the awesome melodies Grear lyrics and fantastic guitars

Yes, definitely one of the really great ones! I love his voice. I can go into this range from singing along with him and Tony Mills before he went into TNT when he was with SHY. I love him in SHY, but he's really bad once he got away from them. I love this whole band- great musicians, but without T.H the songs just aren't good songs anymore. + I miss music like this that is joyful and uplifting.

Honestly I've dug every one of their albums especially knights of the thunder album. But I gotta tell you that this is the roughest of vocal takes I have heard from Tony Harrell.

I agree, but not even Tony Harnell can sound studio perfect all the time. I bet this was deep into a tour, his voice was probably tired as hell.

DoNoReVo, I was wondering that same thing (real backing vocal) as also the keys in back ground. first two albums were great but got Bunk publicity and proper push. If they vocal live like this I am impressed. Great album with their first album.

My old guitarist...Ooops! Hahaha!! WTF We're ALL Old tee hee hee JK! :) He went and saw them years ago and was blown away by Letekro (Guitarist) he was doing things with loopers way before popular useage now in his solo. I dugg the "Machine gun riffs myself" Anyone wanna start a TNT Covers band? Haha! I think I can still sing it! :) as long as I can play seven string tooooooooo....Pleazzzze!!! ;D

Fiddlekrazy Steve It's impossible to do this live. You can clearly hear that the backing vocal have studio effects.

Of course with the right equipment, such as Muse' bass player uses for vocal backing, this might be able to at least come off fairly descent. I think Alex lifespan from Rush has used the same equipment for backing vocal.

Yes, but the backing vocals always sound the same, even nowadays with a different line-up. Except if all TNT musicians have the same voice, it's impossible to achieve always the same effect as in studio, with many different musicians "singing" it. It's easier to believe that it's playback. It's clearer in "Intuition", where you can hear much more than 4 voices in the chorus, and there's only 3 musicians pretending they are singing in stage, with 1 actually singing (Tony Harnell).

I agree with you that it sounds too much like studio track. I am just saying. That when we were lacking a full backing vocal we would place at least one vocal (usually one that could sing as well as the lead vox) thru an eventide and some compressed chorusing effects. Not perfect mind you, but can fake thru a loud audience. :)

I think I can TOTALLY AGREE here with y'all! The backing vocals sound tighter than Harnell. Wonder if there were monitor issues? Off key etc etc.
