I'm pretty good at illustrator and needing to expand to animation - this really helped me in explaining and going through what the"rig" actually is and how to set it up in illustrator for then piecing out in AE. Thanks again 💯💯💯💯

this is insane, almost looks hand animated frame by frame. man play it back on 2s with a tiny bit of boil, i don't think anyone would even know

My duik (16.2.30) doesn't look like this. I do not see a full character auto rig set up like this. My understanding was that you had to create bones for all of the limbs before rigging?

How did you add the eye movement when the runcycle wall looping

Pretty sure the eye movement just loops along with it as well. I think I just added some blinks in the middle to make it look a little more random

Is it entirely necessary to use Overlord? Is there a free version of it?

Not at all. Overlord just takes out a few steps. You could easily just import the AI files into AE
