The man with the wings is the famous Greek Inventor, Icarus, who created waxed wings to fly into the sun. The funny tragedy is that when he flew too close to the sun, his waxed wings melted and he fell to his death. Kratos needs his wings to make it to the island of the Sisters of Fate.

In God of War Ragnarok *Spoilers below* the wild cattle in Jottunheim have no pupils as well because Angrboda's grand mother took the souls of the animals away. Apparently the fates have the ability to change someone's fate from mortals to the very gods by using the strings of life as all beings have one. So kratos needs them to get ahold of his string (after killing the three sisters) And go back to when zues was killing kratos in the beginning to stop all that betrayal.

So, I believe Kratos DID NOT kill Lahkesis and Atropos (the first two sisters). He trapped them in the past and broke the "gate" in the Island of Creation.

There's also a lot of nods to other myths. For instance, atlas looks like he is made of stone, different from chains of Olympus. That's b/c in the myth of perseus, after claiming Medusa's head, while returning home, he comes across atlas, and takes pity on him by turning him to stone. But a titan is too ancient and powerful, so it didn't last.

Out of the empty space of Chaos came Gaea, the earth, Tartarus, the underworld, and Eros, desire. Gaea gave birth to the mountains, the sky, and the sea. She took her son the sky, Uranus, as her husband, and with him, she mothered the twelve Titans, the very first gods and goddesses, taller than the mountains they used as thrones. However, Uranus was disgusted by their next children, the three cyclopes and three monstrous sons, each with fifty heads and one hundred arms, and he threw them into Tartarus, the underworld prison of suffering. Yet Gaea loved all of her children, and she could not forgive Uranus for his cruelty. She made a diamond sickle for her youngest son, Cronus, and with it he defeated his father. Gaea later married her son Pontus, the ocean, and the Titans took charge of the universe. They were the ancestors or parents of most of the twelve Olympians discussed here below, though it was through their children that they too were eventually overthrown. Below is a brief biography of the Twelve Titans in Greek Mythology 1. Oceanus: Titan God Of The Sea & Water The eldest of the Titans, Oceanus was married to his sister Thetis. Together the two produced over 6000 spirits of the oceans and streams, known as the Oceanids. In fact, Oceanus and Thetis were far too fertile, and their union began to cause floods so they divorced to stop all the damage they were causing. He gave over his realm to Poseidon after the rise of the Olympians, but Zeus allowed him to continue to live as a simple god of the ocean. 2. Thetis: Titan Goddess Of Fresh Water When Cronus became paranoid and his wife, Rhea, wished to protect her children, she brought Hera to her sister Thetis who raised her as her daughter. Later, as a favor to Hera, Thetis punished Callisto and Arcas, a lover and child of Zeus, by forbidding their constellations from touching the sea. They were forced to continuously circle the sky without rest. We know those constellations as Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, or the big and little dippers. 3. Hyperion: Titan God Of Light & Observation Hyperion was the Titan god of light, wisdom, and vigilance. He married his sister Thea, and they gave birth to Helios, the sun, Selene, the moon, and Eos, the dawn. Hyperion and three of his other brothers, Coeus, Crius, and Iapetus, formed the four pillars that separated and held the heavens above one another. According to one of the more horrifying Greek traditions, the same four pillars pinned their father down while Cronus castrated Uranus with his sickle. 4. Thea: Titan Goddess Of The Sun & Light Thea, the goddess of light, was also a ravishing beauty, perhaps the loveliest of the six Titan daughters. She was the goddess of light, and therefore the perfect match for her brother, Hyperion. She also imbued gold, silver, and precious gems with their radiant shine, and spoke through an oracle at Phthiotis in Thessaly. 5. Coeus: Titan God Of The Oracles, Wisdom, And Foresight Coeus was the keeper of the pillar of the north. He was the Titan god of intellect, and married his sister Phoebe. Their children, Asteria and Leto, were foundational figures in later mythology. Both daughters were pursued by Zeus. Asteria turned into a quail and drowned herself in the Aegean Sea, but Leto bore Zeus two children, the twins Apollo and Artemis who became powerful Olympians. 6. Phoebe: Titan Goddess Of Prophecy & Intellect Since Phoebe was the grandmother of Apollo and Artemis, the twins’ were sometimes called Phoebus and Phoebe as alternative names. Phoebe also had some association with the moon, as did Artemis. Her most integral power was that of prophecy, and she was heavily associated with the famous Oracle at Delphi, later connected to Apollo. 7. Crius: Titan God Of Constellations Crius (or Krios) married his half-sister, Eurybia, who was not one of the original twelve Titans but the daughter of Gaea from her second husband, Pontus. They produced three children, Astraios, the god of dusk, Pallas, god of Warcraft, and Perses, the god of destruction. Crius fought with the Olympians during the Titans’ overthrow, and as a result, he was imprisoned in Tartarus. 8. Mnemosyne: Titan Goddess Of Memory The goddess of memory and the voice of the underground Oracle of Trophonios in Boetia, Mnemosyne did not marry one of her brothers but still helped mother the next generation of deities. She slept with Zeus for nine consecutive days, and as a result, gave birth to the nine muses; Calliope, Clio, Erato, Euterpe, Melpomeni, Polymnia, Ourania, Terpsichore and Thalia whose roles were to give artists and philosophers inspiration for creation. 9. Iapetus: Titan God Of Mortal Life Or God Of Death The Titan Iapetus was the god of craftsmanship or mortality, varying between sources. He married one of his Oceanid nieces, Clymene, and they produced four sons, Atlas, Prometheus, Epimetheus, and Menoetius. These four sons were the ancestors of the first humans, and each passed a certain detrimental quality onto humanity; brash courage, scheming, stupidity, and violence, respectively. 10. Themis: Titan Goddess Of Law, Order, And Justice The Titan goddess Themis represented natural and moral order and law. She became the second wife of Zeus, helped him hold power over the other gods and all the earth. She created the divine laws that even superseded the authority of the gods themselves. She manifested in multiple different forms, and mothered the Fates and the Hours. Themis was the main Titan goddess of the oracle at Delphi, but she was so fond of Apollo that she eventually offered the Oracle to him. 11. Cronus: Titan Ruler of the Universe Although he was the youngest son of Gaea and Uranus, Cronus was also the strongest of the Greek Titans. For a brief time, earth enjoyed a Golden Age under his rule. The vices had not yet been invented, and the earth was in total peace and harmony. Yet Cronus did not release his brothers as he had promised, and soon his mother grew angry with him and began to plot his downfall. Cronus learned of a prophecy which stated that, as Cronus had dethroned his father, so one of his children would dethrone him. He therefore took all of his children from his sister and wife, Rhea, as soon as they were born, and swallowed them. 12. Rhea: Titan Goddess Of Fertility Cronus was secure and happy, thinking he had subverted the threat, but Rhea was understandably upset. As the goddess responsible for the flow of Cronus’s kingdom, she was well-placed to interrupt that flow. When she learned she was expecting again, she asked her mother for advice. Gaea helped Rhea conceal her newborn baby, and Rhea swaddled a stone in baby clothes and gave the stone to Cronus to swallow. Cronus was fooled, but Gaea and Rhea carefully concealed little Zeus in a small cave on the island of Crete. War of the Gods & Titans Little Zeus grew up attended by nymphs and nursed by the fairy goat Amaltheia, who produced ambrosia and nectar, the food and drink of the deities. He married Metis, one of the Titan’s daughters and the goddess of prudence, who advised Zeus not to attack Cronus alone. Instead, she went to Cronus and convinced him to eat a magic herb that she claimed would make him unconquerable. The herb made him sick, and he vomited his other children; Hades, Poseidon, Hestia, Demeter, and Hera. They all joined Zeus and together they rose against their father. Powerless to resist their combined strength, Cronus fled in terror. Several of the other Greek Titans did not give up their power so easily, however, and rose against the new gods and goddesses. Zeus freed his great-uncles from Tartarus, and after a mighty battle, the Olympians emerged victorious, and imprisoned the Titans in Tartarus instead. The Cyclopes built a beautiful palace for the new gods and goddesses atop the mountain of Olympus, and the famous Olympian Greek gods and goddesses of legend took up residence there to both aid and interfere in the affairs of mankind.

The sisters of fate hold Past present and future in their hands. All gods and mortals are their jurisdiction. (in mythology they can't change the past but they can say how mortals or gods will do in their future.) Its their job to keep balance. Also when someone is to die, they cut the string of life for that being who is to die, Then the being in question dies instantly and enters hades.

The sisters of fate decide the fate of everyone because that's what they are. One of the sisters creates the threads of life, one sister weaves it, and the final sister cuts it, representing the begging of life, the actual living of life and the end of life. And because they do this, they basically control the fates of everyone. Clotho (the spinner), Lachesis (the allotter), and Atropos (the unturnable, a metaphor for death). The role of the Moirai was to ensure that every being, mortal and divine, lived out their destiny as it was assigned to them by the laws of the universe. For mortals, this destiny spanned their entire lives and was represented as a thread spun from a spindle. Generally, they were considered to be above even the gods in their role as enforcers of fate, although in some representations, Zeus, the chief of the gods, is able to command them. Clotho ("spinner") spun the thread of life from her distaff onto her spindle. Her Roman equivalent was Nona ("the ninth"), who was originally a goddess called upon in the ninth month of pregnancy. Lachesis("allotter" or drawer of lots) measured the thread of life allotted to each person with her measuring rod. Her Roman equivalent was Decima ("the Tenth"). Atropos, "inexorable" or "inevitable", literally "unturning", sometimes called Aisa) was the cutter of the thread of life. She chose the manner of each person's death; and when their time was come, she cut their life-thread with "her abhorred shears". Her Roman equivalent was Morta ("the dead one").

GOW - The saga of daddy issues

There was quite a bit skipped here again, i wish yall could find a better vid to catch up on since these ones really seem to dump a lot of context and worldbuilding clues out of them. For one thing, the destruction of Sparta, Kratos' home, was completely cut out. To explain, when Kratos crawled out of hell again at the place Zeus killed him, he found one spartan soldier still alive (the young commander that called to him when we saw Kratos in Olympus at the beginning). Kratos orders him to return to Sparta and prepare for a fight. In the meantime of the game, Gaia sends a pegasus to take Kratos to the island of creation, where the temple of the sisters is supposed to be hidden. Upon arriving there, he fights Theseus, a hero in greek mythology, who in this universe is in service to the gods by protecting the island. Kratos brutally kills him by trapping his head between two doors and slamming them together until his head is a bloody pulp. After this is when we see the cutscene with Gaia explaining the backstory of how she took care of young Zeus. Further into the island, Kratos meets the old Barbarian King who was about to kill him before he originally pledged himself in service to Ares, apparently the barbarian crawled out of the underworld over the many years since Kratos decapitated him on that day, and has been trying to reach the sisters to reverse his fate. Kratos, ofc, kills him again as well. He also meets and kills Perseus on his way there, but i believe someone else pointed that out already. Right before reaching the temple, Kratos enters a shadowy room and fights a figure we can't make out, until they break out of the room into daylight and realize Kratos just ran through the same spartan commander he sent back home. Confused and angry, Kratos asks him why hes there, and the commander explains that Sparta no longer exists, as after killing him Zeus descended on it and destroyed it completely, which is why the commander left to seek the sisters so they could change the fate of Sparta being destroyed. With his last breath the commander says he has faith Sparta will at least live on through Kratos, the true god of war. This pisses off Kratos to the max, if anymore is even possible, as now he has lost his wife, daughter, brother, mother, reputation, countrymen AND finally his homeland. He has absolutely nothing left. Post this we see the scene with him reaching the Sisters themselves. The reason Kratos had to find the sisters and go back in time was so he could retrieve the Blade of Olympus, where he put in all his godly powers, without those he isn't strong enough to take on Zeus in open combat or kill him for good.

If I'm not mistaken, the same thing happened with the Titans and their parents. Thats why Cronos decided to eat his kids because he learned of a prophecy that his children (the gods) would overthrow him. The cycle continues.

In random jump scene kratos is on the island of the fates he faces many impossible challenges and meets other trying to reach the sisters of fate to change there fate he kills all he meets of course including the barbarian king from first game. Crazy guy is icarus son of daedulus both famous inventors, kills icaruas and takes wings. Also from other video god that had demos imprisoned was Thanatos god of death, kratos becomes death by killing him as he had with killing ares become the god of war that along with pandoras box powers makes him able to kill any being such as gods and titans. Also cool tidbit in this game Kratos kills his most loyal follower and closest thing to a friend he had named Atreus which he named his son.

The God of war series is my favorite series since day one, especially the comics and Gameboy Adv game, and the entire universe building it now has; this includes the evolution of Kratos and his "many allies" and enemies. Fan since day one till I die lol

Funny you mention Kratos bringing chaos to the world. You are 110% on point. It's hard to see because Kratos is among the gods, underworld, and other planes of existence but all the normal mortals and humans on earth are (pardon my french) f*cked. Imagine today the sun just turned off. Or The dead didn't stay dead. Or time began moving in all directions but forward. The Crops are gone. The seas are out of control. The seasons are deadly. All of humanity is screwed with every kill.

nice video if ure confused about the fight at 17:40 basically one of the sisters transported kratos to the past when he was battling ares and tried to destroy the sword he would later use to kill the god (i think the last video u watched skipped the whole ares fight bcs the video rly skipped like 90% of stuff, this one still skipping but its much better)

Correction... Zues killed his father and banished the titans. His father is dead. But Kronos also killed his father before him. Now because they have created the pattern, the prophecy is that Zeus will die at the hand of his son (Which he does).. Now, with all this knowledge, it's safe to draw the conclusion that Kratos is basically immortal because he has died and come back from the underworld about 4 times and he has tried to kill himself and failed each time, the only person who can kill Kratos is his son Atreus😊. Yup, Kratos' power is quite literally his rage. There are actually some jokes about the rage meter in GoW 2018 and Ragnarök actually being active 24/7 in the previous games.. I dont know if thats confirmed or not nut it is my headcanon

That's probably due to the structure of these games. Around the time they were made animating cutscenes was expensive. So most of the story content happens during the gameplay and only the major and some minor story points where animated as cutscenes.

This video skipped the silhouette fight where in a dark place Kratos fights with and kills the last of the Spartans, they're both just sillouettes and unable to see who the other is beyond deadly warrior. Which also further pisses off Kratos as the man brings news with his dying breath that Sparta has been destroyed as further revenge against Kratos' rebellion, never mind the fact that Zeus thought he was dead. He was grinding everything Kratos had left to love into the dirt.
