Yes she's a amazing mother and this scene makes me cry when Hope says she wants to stay with her mom. Hayley reminds me of my mom and just like with Hope I lost my mom when I was just in high school. Senior year of high school my mom took her life and like with hope I was devastated. This scene makes me cry because I miss my mom 😔. Hope and Hayley have the same bond my mom and I had. This is going to sound morbid but I wish the show had ended with the whole family finding peace, rather than Hope being left pretty much all by herself with Alaric as her random guardian. I feel like maybe Hope SHOULD have died but not by a curse, by her own hand. Maybe another curse hits the family instead and Hope manages to get rid of most of it but dies in the process, reuniting with her mother in the afterlife. Klaus finishes Hope's work and dies that way, reuniting with her and Hayley in the bayou afterlife. Elijah and Rebekah decide to take the cure together and find peace as humans.

That's good casting, and usually shows/movies don't bother to get decent daughter/son actors past them matching the hair color of the "parents" or something so I'm pointing out how cool it is that they really tried to get a realistic match. Just how in twighlight the casting directors chose a girl that matched a digital rendering of what Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart's fictional kid would look like.
