TO AVOID OR TO CROSS | The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (June 23, 2024) with SL

Today is the Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time; and in the gospel, we would hear the familiar story of Jesus calming the storm.
Jesus was asleep when a “violent squall came up and waves were breaking over the boat”; naturally, the disciples were so frightened that they woke Jesus up saying: “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” Jesus woke up, then “rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Quiet! Be still!’” Immediately “there was great calm.”
Friends, life has many distressing situations. Expect many storms also when you follow Jesus. What is our response? Avoid the difficulties or walk through them knowing that Jesus is with us even when he seems asleep. Will we accuse Jesus of indifference? Let us be open to God and his surprises. He is always with us.

Oh my God,we fail to take Jesus Christ into our boat because we failed to ward of temptation by what is written.

This gospel is the actual or laboratory performance of the gospel about the sower who went asleep after having sown the seeds.This gospel is commanding christians to take him in your boat for safe navigation
