I am not Jewish but I have read some works by Lord Sacks. He was an amazing man and it is sad that he is gone.

Finally someone has the balls to say this. #Respect

I find this comment extraordinary in its total delusion. As a Canadian, the amount of attention that Israel gets, the amount of attention Jews and Judaism get, considering the size of that population - what do you mean "finally someone has the balls to say it" - that's all that's ever said!!! What is practically never said is that these are MYTHS, and FICTIONS, not objective truth, and not even humanistic history. No Abraham, no David. No occupation of the site of Jerusalem according to the archaeological record until the 7th c BCE, see Reich, D. "Excavations at the Spring of Gihon." You know what was there? Lots of things from a people against whom an ancient genocide was committed - the Phoenicians - Knn, out of whose tradition in truth Judaism springs. There isn't a single passage in the Tanakh that calls the language Hebrew or Ivrit. But there are several passages that call the language Knn or Yhdt - shpat Kanaan and shpat yehudit. No Ivrit. These are made up stories, legends. I am a descendant of the ancient Pontic Steppe horse nomads whose culture was so disgustingly appropriated by the monsters from Germany. My ancestors once roamed the Pontic Steppe from the Pannonian plains of Croatia, through across the Carpathian mountains and into Ukraine all the way to China. Do I have a right to return to Khazaksthan and kick out the Avars and the Mongols and the Turkmen and settle in a new Great Arya to worship my sky horse god Indra and pour libations for many golden streeds and heads of kine? And in the process terrorize, murder and displace millions of people who refuse to acknowledge that I must do this in the name of my God and my ancient customs? What absurdity. And the saddest irony and twist in it is that YOU TOO are most likely a descendant of the same people, while the people in Palestine are the actual Semites. It seems the story you should tell needs a libation of Soma, and not circumcision.

When anyone wishes another person death and destruction because of their cultural/religious background there is no justification for their actions... The Rabbi is correct in saying when we move towards secularism peace will be achieved... Its so sad that this is even a topic of discussion...

Excellent speech by the Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks about the common connecting thread that connects all the Jews, Christians, and Muslims with the Patriarchs (Abraham, Isaacs, and Jacob).

Where were the majority of the MPs during this illuminating speech? Were they afraid of being reminded of the reality of Islam taking over their country?

I think that rather Muslim members of the House of Lords boycotted this speech, so the hall is nearly empty. By the way I have a very strange associations, but this time I will not describe them ...

+Jay Saadian Ostriches... When has the left NOT lived in a pseudo-utopian dreamland idealist non-pragmatic mindset? They use short-term economic (and now, culturally-suicidal) "shell games" rather than being long-term planners.
