My exams are going on and your channel disappeared all of a sudden... I was so tensed about Bacon's essays. But by god's grace you're back just one day before that topic... You're a life saver ma'am.. I found no way to message you, so I'm writing this comment here on your latest post. Thank You so Very Much 💕

This was such 'coy' poem indeed. But we have to appreciate the quality of andrew marvell. He excelled love into a state of metaphysical through this poem! Your explanations are absolutely splendid mam! You truly are a life saver and angel to us literary students.

Though I had studied many of these poems but after listening to you something new I found in them and absolutely the sense of humour you use to make it more easier to understand. ❤ Hope to see you discussing the greatest dramas and novels of English.

I am hailing from Deland, Florida USA, and I must say Bravo, Ma’am, you brought that poem to life, and rendered an excellent explanation. Your teaching is patient and pleasant. I would like to see some more episodes on I Have a Rendezvous with Death, The Road Not Taken , and Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night. It would be a real treat to have you do those poems and many more. Thanks.

The English Gentry of old called the working class the Unwashed. It's true. They were the people who smelled. Americans never got an attitude like that. If you worked hard, if you perspired, you were a good guy.

The women here are as assertive as the men. If there's a man they want, they'll do what they need to do to get him. That comes from assertiveness. That's how a woman got me. I wasn't an English Gentleman looking for a coy mistress.

It is clear that he is married to her . The idea that she is a Mistress in the modern sense is ludicrous . The text shows that he is old and she is young and horny . " thy willing soul transpires at every pore with instant fires " . In 1650 girls could be married at 12 years .

So in England you marry one woman for social status. Then you go looking for a young attractive woman to have fun. That's what happens in an effete society. It doesn't happen on the frontier.
