Hi, you can bring new mixie and grinder. It’s not a prb. I brought black urad dal from India. Here we can get dals. You can bring spices. But don’t bring poppy seeds. In some Muslim countries they won’t allow.

Hi Lavanya, yes I packed with boxes. If you packed with boxes it will be safe. Sometime in airport they will throw the luggage’s from one place to other place. So grainder and mixie it’s a chance to get damage.

No extra luggage Naaz, per suitcase 23kgs, we were 3 people… so totally 6 suitcases. I took 4 suitcases and 2 duffel travel bags. suitcase na 23 kgs la 3 to 4 kgs suitcase weight irukkum. So you can keep only 18 to 19 kgs. But duffel bag na bag weight 1 kg thaan irukkum… so you can keep 22 kgs… duffel bag la don’t keep any breakable things…

Hi santhi, customs la onnum sollala pa. It’s depends upon our luck. Even I brought fresh drumsticks and curry leaves to US. Paruppu Items you can get it easily in US and Canada. Now a days all types of millets are available here. Take all the vessels for cooking. Here vessels are costly. Black urad dal I brought from India. Dresses you can take from india like western dresses and tops. Here it’s costly pa.

Hi Aswini, 9 yrs na full ticket so you can take 2 suitcases each 23kgs, hand luggage 7kgs and extra one hand bag(they don’t check weight for hand bag). Podi items chili powder, coriander powder, curry leaves powder, idly podi, turmeric powder and kulambu powder all home made only I took. You can keep extra powders in fridge. But in Canada around 7 month cold weather so won’t spoil easily. Now a days in Canada mills are available in some places like Brampton and etovicoke. You can grind all grains and spice powders. Price also normal. I know these two places only. These are Tamil grinding mills.

Hi Farhat, in shop 110 volt mixer and grinder available. Buy that one it’s for Canada and US also. Here you can get Indian mixer and grinder but costly. So it’s better to buy in India. My mixie preethi Steele 110 volt . Grinder ultra brand. Both are good.

Hi , I kept grinder and Mixee cotton boxes in 2 suitcases. Normally Suitcase weight 3 to 4 kgs.. so we can keep 18 or 19 kgs only. I had 2 duffle bags ( bought from US) . In duffle bag we can keep around 22 kgs. So we can kept more things compare than suitcase.

Hand luggage and hand bag separate. Hand luggage like small suitcase or back bag like that. In hand bag you can keep gold jewelry and passport like that. Silver pooja items you can keep in suitcases.

Hi Aswathi, yes it was good. But just 1 yr only I used that in Canada. After that I moved to India. So I sold that in Canada. When I was in US I used preethi eco plus. I used eco plus 7 yrs in US. So both are good. When I went to Canada I searched eco plus only. But that time I couldn’t find that model. So I bought preethi Steele.

Yes your right. In all shops 110 volts mixie and grinder is available. If you ask 110 volts for US and Canada they ll give of available brands. You can choose anyone of them 😊. When I went to US 7 years back I bought from Chennai . Then for Canada 2 years back I bought from Madurai.
