Let's gooooo! My favourite anime and manga. I've been waiting for this. Thank you for appreciating and loving on imo my G.O.A.T. manga/anime protagonist. Sir Ken's story deserves to be appreciated and loved for how impactful and amazing it is. Love you so much man, that I do! I just wish they would use the OG soundtrack as it was a masterpiece.

They can’t due to licensing issues. That music is owned by a studio who demands too much in licensing fees to use the original music. The only reason it was available for the Anime we got originally was because of networking - the musician agreed to provide it to Studio Gallop on a personal request.

YES! I would love to see his reaction to the og of all ogs! The soundtrack is unmatched and is one of the only anime where I prefer the dub because of how gentle sir Ken's voice actor's voice was. I'm still trying to find the complete DVD set and collect all the manga I can.

I loved the episode, one of my main complaint of season 1 seems to have been fixed by the studio : they toned UP the humor. First season removed MANY jokes and silly moments of the anime, and I really feared the "Fox Megumi" and "Tanuki Kaoru' caricature would disappear. Since they're back, I hope i'll see my favorite joke of the arc during this season !

Considering the author is a big marvel fan and some characters he wrote were influenced by marvel characters i can see saito is pretty much based on the punisher 😂

Hajime Saito is a historical figure tho. He was always a badass. He was kind of like the real like Punisher as he killed a group of corrupt shinsengumi members and police officers, Gatosu was his real life technique and was said to be one of the most deadly swordsmen techniques. After the war he took the name of Goro Fujita just as depicted in the show. Til his death he never revealed anything about his activity in the Shinsengumi. He was a very badass and mysterious man.

The OG Rurouni Kenshin is my most favorite anime. But this remake is really not living to my expectations. Its good but some of the actions here are way off from the original or the manga. Like in this episode in 8:26, a real samurai will never do that to his katana (which is drop it to the ground purposely). Saito did not do this in the OG anime nor in the manga. The katana is very much respected especially by a samurai.

This episode is a stark departure in terms of quality from season 1. Looks like they got a bigger budget, better direction, and took notes of criticisms from the previous season. If they keep this up it could potentially rival the old anime.
