Not knowing anything about the small budget or who else would be a potential nominee, upon finishing the movie I thought she simply MUST get some Oscar love for this performance. And sure enough she did! I share Kate’s intense enthusiasm for this film and all the performances in it.

Loved this movie. Immediately looked for an interview with Andrea to hear more about the process, and this was exactly what I was looking for. Great interview Kate, this video should have loads more views. And congrats to the whole To Leslie crew on a fantastic film. Hopefully the drama around the nomination subsides, and folks actually watch the film to understand how criminal it would have been to not have had Andrea in the running for best Actress. Cheers.

Wonderful underrated film. People should see, this it is real life. I got locked in quickly and sobbed loudly at the end. Fantastic acting directing, this film got lost in the way of overrated winners particularly one film I only watched 1/2 of that swept awards and is typical of hollywoods sentiment and the political animal it is. I watched for free on Emirates airlines. Boring, generic, forgettable, and predictable. No one will watch and thus the flop. Good performance from Andrea though.

7yrs ago I was housed in a camper by friends in Copenhagen so I could play Jazz piano. Along with the camper came a Staffordshire Terrier and a Cargo bike and a stash of DVDs. In that Stash of DVDs were "Shadow Dancer" and 2013s "Disconnect" it took forever for me to realize that Andrea Riseborough was a principal character in both Films. She was completely unrecognizable from one film to the other. Okay,I thought; who is this chameleon? I went to my then local library there in Sydhavn, Copenhagen and typed in her name and checked out a forgotten Scott Free production called "Welcome to the Punch". I was deeply engaged in that movie until they killed off her character. I then realized that the sole reason I was so engrossed was her plucky portrayal of a rebellious MI5 operative and once they killed her off I could suddenly see all the flaws in that film. Next I saw "Oblivion" also not noticing that our girl was the prime scene stealer of that darn good Sci Fi flick. Geez that Swimming pool scene. So after my deportation back to America I got free Netflix/Amazon So I was watching (the Kindness of Strangers) and guess what? She played an ancillary character the Nurse. Once again I didn't notice. Believe me by then I was obsessed by her and her career and yet she still got by my Ricebourgo radar. Once again I was watching/binging Bloodline thinking of wow this cat Ben Mendelsen's a great actor but WAIT wow his ex Eve who is she? It just keeps happening. She's a chameleon on the level of Christian Bale or Daniel Day Lewis. I'm convinced the only actress of her generation who holds a candle is Rebecca Hall checkout "Parades End". But I'll watch anything Ricebourgo does now.
