Dang that nittaku shake 2018 is looking bad without sealing, I always seal my blades usually with the Donic Seal mini Stick two coatings on arrival, no matter if it feels pre sealed or not. It does add to the weight some but better safe than sorry. Used glue sheets from germany aswell but from Imperial on my Xiom Hayabusa which came off perfectly however I had to spend alot of time getting it off. The Donic Sealer kept the wood safe. Now I switched to Donic Glue stick since I liked the sealer so much which uses the same concept little bottle with a sponge on top included which I find is alot more convinient to exchange the rubbers. Great Video thx.

I just put together my first blade and I’m curious about the handle. I can’t find any information online regarding just the handle, not the blade. Why are bat handles unfinished? I noticed after practice that my handle was coated in sweat and I know wood is not generally fond of water/moisture. What’s your advice? Thanks.

I seal the handle too. It seems to help with sweat 😅

Hi.. I got carried away and put 2 thick coats of water based varnish on my new blade (Saturn finish). Should I sand it all off?

What brand of glue was used?

Hey, how many layers should I apply? I applied 3 very thin layers of waterbased laquer, does it possible that it changed properties of blade?

One thin layer is really enough. Otherwise, it starts changing the blade.

should you seal the handle as well?
@CustomTableTennis Жыл бұрын
We don’t because it can cause the handle to feel tacky or sticky in the hand. You certainly can though, it will help to keep it looking new for longer.

What abut the handle? Does that need to be sealed or not?

I sealed mine so that sweat should not go there.

Nice video! How many hours let it dry before gluing on a rubber?
@CustomTableTennis3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It depends how porous the wood is and the drying conditions. If your in a rush you can help it along with a hair dryer until it’s completely dry and it should be fine. It’s always best to leave it overnight though if possible.

do I need to seal the blade every time that I change the rubber?
