The legend tied to the angel is tied to a native American princess.....here's the story "The Angel myth stems from old Native American folklore in which a tribal princess, in a time of great drought, sacrificed herself in the hopes of appeasing the gods to provide much-needed moisture. The princess than reappeared each successive year on the slopes on Mt. Shavano in the shape of a woman with two arms outstretched towards the summit". Nice video.

this movie was gripping, the tension was unsustainable when Sage got stuck at the summit with the skis. Many beautiful shots from the summit and from the trail there. Also it sounds like you can beat your PR if you figure out the door issue

That film was so genuine! I love how you edited it to show all the awkward agonizing parts like managing your gear and getting through your door and didn't just edit the film to show the rad highlights. It felt so real. As I think back to the few times I went on big adventures like this, there is a lot of slogging and gear management. Awesome job and so cool you are picking up these new sports and combining them. Also love the adventure right from your front door idea!

hey glad you liked it! I can't take any credit with the editing (and most of the filming though) as that was all @StephenGnoza (aka @SeriousRunner ). I knew he had filmed a lot but I let him have the power to decide what made the cut (or not 🤣!)

hey thanks! Yeah I'll have to practice a bit more at Monarch this coming Fall winter now! Future objectives for next Spring include the East ridge of Elbert, maybe the Grand Couloir on Aetna and then exploring Mirkwood Basin. I' ll look to get my Avy 1 this Fall also (as you can tell I'm a pretty bad skier and should probably avoid any extreme terrain still!). I've done Quandary east ridge and the easy line on Sherman both a few times also which is closer to you and always fun (well,... depending on conditions!)

The thought crossed me mind. I didn't want to scratch my frame though!....I'm also not sure how the boots would attach exactly without something really special?

You can run the skis horizontally, strapped under the seat and just behind the head tube. Can also keep the boots in the bindings. And yeah, maybe a couple pieces of fabric against scratching

good eye! For the record though I carried all my fluid/drink and food though (they didn't "crew for me") other than taking the boots for the downhill on the way back. Honestly the bike ride back only took like 55-min (compared to the 2 hours + uphill on the way out!) also!....I was coasting at like 20mph
