At least he finally said it. XiChen was furious at how oblivious Wei Ying has been all these years when it came to Lan Zhan's love for him. He had to explain how Lan Zhan got his whip scars, the branding on the chest and even said that Wei Ying was Lan Zhan's biggest mistake. He was their biggest supporter and had all the right to be upset because Wei Ying didn't understand Lan Zhan's heart for so long. I'd be upset too.

That Yao guy was literally whispering and Jiang Cheng was angry. And then Jiang Cheng gets too see Wei Ying and Lan Zhan hugging (in the book/s).

I already said this, but I’ll say it again: I don’t care if we never got the confession scene from the Novel and Audio drama-this scene is enough to show just how much Lan Zhan loves Wei Ying-willingly giving up his power just to ensure his safety. Wei Ying’s reactions are all that is needed to tell you that he UNDERSTANDS. He KNOWS that this is how much someone loves him, he KNOWS that he is loved, and missed, and cared for. And in the way they look at each other, it’s enough to confess that they would take the stars and the moon from the skies for each other…
