This version of To Tell The Truth is the one I remember from when I was young---WOW! That psychedelic set! And that theme!

Wow, they have talked about a four day 40 hour work week for years. Even in 2023. I’m not sure that that has come about in most places.

It's interesting seeing her before the Watergate scandal. I'm surprised she wasn't murdered by the Nixon camp.

I know what you're referring to, but not quite: By November 1970, a Gallup poll indicated that 76 percent of Americans recognized who she was, and she was featured on the cover of Time in an issue about the most influential women of Washington.[1] Her reputation for frank and uncensored talk that was generally in support of Republican issues led to her being nicknamed "Martha the Mouth" or "The Mouth of the South".[17]

Julia Roberts really played Martha Mitchell's story so well. It's so cool to see this episode. The man who created so many game shows Mark Goodson, is actually participating on this show.

He even hosted the show a few times through the different versions of TTTT, right up to 1991 when Alex Trebek was hosting.

Martha Mitchell was as sane as rain. It is just beyond horrible how her husband had her kidnapped and detained. It is even more horrible how the goons who kidnapped her got away with it.

I watched TTTT in the '60s in the afternoons hosted by Bud Collyer. I don't remember this set or series, or that Garry Moore hosted it, but somehow I remember the theme song and music very well--and like it.

The theme song might as well have been composed by the Byrds. This is version I knew as a youngster. Maybe just vague memories of Bud Collyer. Johnny Olson's voice was all over CBS.

From Wikipedia: This version featured a lyrical, pop music-styled theme song written and composed by Score Productions chief Bob Israel and Truth producer Paul Alter, along with veteran theme composer Charles Fox; an instrumental, and orchestral, version would be used for the 1990 series.

Bud Collyer was the host of TTTT when it was first run on the CBS network. When TTTT was syndicated, Gary Moore was the first host, and then Joe Garagiola.

Registered Nurses have had 4 day a week shifts for many years now. They are 12 hours each day. This is very handy for Nursing staff to be able to have that extra day to meet the needs of her family or even sleep.

If Margaret Mitchell was scheduled to appear on the show, it was no surprise that Kitty Carlisle would kindly step aside to let her be there. Mark Goodson was there as a panelist, so that no smart-mouthed celebrity or comedian would say anything to offend the wife of a high- level Federal Government Cabinet member.

In my opinion, it ain't TTTT without Kitty. And also in my opinion, Bud Colyer was a much more enjoyable host. Garry hogged way too much air time...

I watched this game when new, hosted by Garry Moore, when I was a child. I don't remember the version during 1977 by another host, and I was in high school then. That puppet on this I don't remember, but is annoying. Bill Cullen was cute.
