Just by looking at Mr. Goodson at the end, he didn't have long for this world; he would pass into eternity about a year after this..

After the show ended, NBC replaced this show the following Monday with reruns of “Full House” for 3 months until it went to syndication that fall. Meanwhile, ABC had “Full House”, and it got renewed for season 5.

eventually To Tell The Truth would return to television, but it wasn't hosted by Alex Trebek and it wasn't on NBC either

Instead, the 2000-01 revival was hosted by John O'Hurley of Seinfeld fame and the current revival is hosted by Anthony Anderson. Previous incarnations had Bud Collyer, Garry Moore, Robin Ward, Gordon Elliott, Lynn Swann and Alex Trebek as hosts.
