I’m not sure how Dr you were able to make this video but how sad yet I’ve already sent this to eight kids that are graduating and one is my granddaughter that I found out drinks. She’s very smart as well. But like your Brian thinks nothing will happen. She just called me and said “Nanie I promise I won’t drink. This is so sad and I don’t want anything to happen “. She is a Senior So thank you Dr and your family as I know this has to be with you daily. I think you just may have saved a life. God bless you and your entire family. 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for sharing such a painful and personal experience. I lost my brother, Patrick, to a drunk driver and saw how it hurt and changed my parents, me and my other siblings for the rest of our lives. He was in the Air Force, stationed at Vandenburg AFB in California living his best life. It happened Labor Day of 1983 and he was the young age of 23. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts because if you save just one life, it will be worth it. And I'm very sorry this happened to your son and your family.

I lost my grandma 3 weeks ago she was the closest person to me in the whole world. The worst part was the sudden shock I remember nearly fainting at the ICU and thinking to myself how I was going to continue living we had gotten into a few fights a few days before. 3 weeks later and the pain is still there my parents have really tried to make me understand that it will never go away and that I just have to learn to live with it

Dr. Hoeflinger, You are an inspiration to tell us not to drink and drive. They simply don’t mix. Your son, as you said, proved it, and so does On Patrol: Live. I do have a question. Do you think your son would want to turn his mistake into hope by teaching others to not do what he did?

It's difficult to mourn someone you love that is frozen in time after a massive stroke from alcohol. They can't move forward, they never remember yesterday and without assistance living, they can't function. They also can't realize what they put everyone through or themselves so there's no responsibility for the choice they made. Just imagine living like that for 60+ years.
