This is beautiful and a must do for me. I have been derailed almost every year since 1979 and sometime multiple times collisions of parents and husband at the same time to a point I totally disappeared and became someone else’s keeper The me has never really come back and I travel different rails at the same time surprising enough to make it a new me. So beautiful. I have no music background. My friend showed me her dulcimer. So I started playing. I have found watching and listening to harp music is so relaxing for me. I really appreciated your reflection on the North Star - mine is playing harp pieces that are calming and therapeutic at our local residential hospice. Your lovely creations make up about 80% of my repertoire. So much of your music is well suited to that environment. I listened to this new piece with awe that you have once again managed to compose music that is easy to learn and yet in my opinion is remarkably beautiful and soothing. Beautiful piece Anne! How do you do this light touch on the strings that you do that is so calm and relaxing? I'm a beginner, and realizing now that I need to relax my hands and body and not pluck the strings so hard. I think my intense concentration comes out in my music. Ive caught myself even gritting my teeth trying so hard to get a ouece correct without messing up. Thank you for your beautiful music! Im in the process of learning "Just For You." Love it!

Okay, okay... it's time for me to finally get a harp so I can learn this. ;) How many strings does your harp here have? I think I can only afford up to a 27/29 string harp but I love the bass tones so much.

This is SO pretty! However, I would've thought this would be considered more like early intermediate level. Is there a fine line between what is considered late beginner vs early intermediate, and do the definitions vary from person to person?

Good question! 🙂 most of us have developed our own criteria for what it means for a piece to be in a certain level. When I use basic left-hand patterns like 158s and 135s and simple hands together coordination, I usually put that in the elementary category. I also consider the required reading and technical skills. I’ve always had a knack for making things sound harder than they really are.
