putting shamans as lowest priortity makes so much more sense. I wouldn't have thought of that on my own, considering every other guide says to prioritize shamans. But praying melee all the time and taking out the other dps monkeys seems like the way to go looking at this! Gonna try this tonight. Might get my first expert complete! Monkey room is my absolute worst room at this point.

If you kill core on last hit of second down you can proc death charge. Might be worth doing one or two fewer dds specs on second down so that you kill on 10th hit, proc death charge, and get an extra zcb spec in

@@ShaneNowak the issue is that with invent tags you're tagging multiple different items the same color, e.g range armor piece + blowpipe as green in order to differentiate between them you don't look at the green, you look at the shape, in order words the color is useless. typicaly visual acquisition is done via outline primarily to begin with - invent tags is adding extra steps and being unwilling to learn natural distinct shapes - there are good uses like distincting nightmare staffs with a single tag, but the second you highlight two pieces of gear the same color you fked up (which is what 99% of people do). the difference is the monkeys that are being tagged colors are all the same style monkeys, so its aiding in identification directly, if i was tagging ALL monkeys green to indicate a monkey exists that would be a direct parallel (and obviously stupid).

@@aatykon thank you for the response and an actual conversation first off... I still find them the same. You just said you tag them by style. How is tagging all ranged gear green, which is one style... and tagging all green monkeys green because they’re the same style different? You tag the green one green so it’s easier and quicker to identify for you, how’s that different than someone who tags range gear green to quickly identify that? If they are just tagging it as range just because it’s a ranged piece then sure, they’re just painting their invent like a donut, but I’d assume most players don’t just tag everything to see the rainbow but to tag gear to learn to switch properly and then the inv tags follow them into late game.

I have a command in my stream - !smooth this brings up all my gpu settings and such. downgraded gear runs-wise - i recorded about 10 runs but none of them took my fancy as far as a good example, mostly because its boring and slow and players without max gear aren't going to be comfy with these invos/supplies.

The 300s I run without Path invos still get me ~11k damage which is at the point of diminishing returns for purple chance vs time per raid

Though crowd sourcing shows this, the damage to purple chance is a fairly slim rate of return, especially when you factor in time. If more levels gives you 15% more chance let’s say - unless you’re getting through that raid and not adding another 15% time (3 minutes ish with Aaty’s example), overall; you don’t gain anything in the long term.

This is dependant on if you can clear 400s consistently in ~30 minutes and enjoy all the annoying invocations, then go for it otherwise if you can get your 300s down to doing 3 an hour and consistent clears they probably are better long term. The purple drop rate from crowd sourced rates show that 400s are definetly a better item rate chance. IMO its just doing what you enjoy at the end of the day and can consistently clear otherwise youll most likely burn out

You can bgs spec kephri for 20 but slash items have less than 50% of hitting, it regens after shield phase and you can spec again but again slash specs have less than 50% of hitting. Personally I give the bgs 1 chance for kephri, after that I fang spec

being able to keep the guardian in place is more beneficial for positioning in my experience doing it, also no chip from croc is much nicer and you are able to react, rather than having to remember akkha which can be annoying with stay vigilant at times during later stages

Warden is more chill, Zebak doesn't chip through prayer unlike Akkha and you can use aerial assault & stay vigilant without the final fight being affected.

With aka.... when mining the obelisk i can usually get 1 down at 84 mining lvl. If I spec and if i'm tick perfect. Idk if invocations have anything to do with that? I usually do 210 when soloing.

Mining puzzle doesn't scale, you get max hits at 85 and 100, but can do early hit tech to guarantee 85, otherwise its rng

Is there ever a point where you would consider running a different boss order in a bigger team? If for instance you might save more time using the salt for monkey waves room and baba than using it for zebak? This is only applicable in bigger teams, but I get a lot of pushback from some of my clanmates when I start monkey first in bigger teams but not a whole lot of reasons other than "its what I've always done since release."

I've seen some teams start with Zebak -> Kephri -> Monkey/Akkha, although I can't say exactly why. Might be a high-invocation thing at 400+ where doing Monkey Salted is valuable, and Zebak remains low damage regardless.

If you got 5+1 first down, second would be 10 hits

there is no functional difference in the runs with budget gear, it just takes a bit longer in the rooms, this was meant to give players an overview on how to tackle rooms semi-efficiently, that's all. in the description i mention adjusting invocations to take more supplies to counter this.

tbh my only complaint is saying you're going to waste time on fresh start worlds. I wish content creators of this game would stand their ground and say enough is enough to these shitty private server deleted in a few month seasonal modes. The reason we didn't get new content that wasn't copy and pasted from the previous version of the game is due to always having private server game modes taking a priority, instead of MTX like RS3 has we get those and it's a damn shame honestly. I don't want main game to get neglected again for another 4 years or it may not even be worth looking back at this game at all.

That being said if it exists I'm sure as hell going to capitalise on it, but I've been pretty outspoken about how I don't think quest speeds/fsw are particularly useful. (in their defence its very little effort from the jagex team to make them happen).

ive done plenty of raids in rcb/d'hide/dsword. for a 300 walkthrough (hardly a guide), i'd expect anyone trying to have half decent gear to begin with - and downgrading to mid level gear barely changes the outcome beyond making the raid a little longer.

@@bjorn4978 if you're under 200 ping and dont live in asia there's no easy way to say it other than its a skill diff. all the mechs can be learned and dodged with practice. p much all mobas and mmorpgs are click to move so i dont really see the point here im afraid - just practice a bit and be patient learning some of the mechs and you can 100% do it :)
