In union, its a little more rare for Tonga to beat Samoa. In league, its more even read the NRL article about the Tonga vs Samoa rivalry. The rivalry including this match is now 7-7 and 1 draw, so don't act as if Samoa dominates us in all rugby codes.

Watching this game I was inspired and a thought came into my head and it just keeps nagging at me and I think if it ever happens it will prove to be even bigger than the State of Origin. I would dearly love to see SOO expanded one day into something like Super Origin 1 with NSW, QLD 2 NZ teams, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji and Papua New Guinea. It must be pure Origin, no more QLD or NSW with players from Island nations, Tongans play for Tonga, Samoans Samoa etc. The passion would be ENORMOUS The FUTURE.
