X-men Evolution's take on Toad was easily the best I've ever seen for the character. Most other series make him a boring henchmen with barely any dialogue or significant moments throughout the story. Here, he was funny, had a cool costume and design, had an interesting dynamic with Wanda, and was fairly powerful compared to his other incarnations.

Got the best ending too since in the future visions Prof X got at the end of the show it's implied the brotherhood join S.H.I.E.L.D and become a respected task force

I know, dude! They always wanna make him a monster, but he's proven time and time again that with a bit of guidance, he would be a good person. He followed his mentally unstable girlfriend to the Hellfire Club in order to rescue captured students and took the blame, only to get dumped and fired, and in another universe, he even gave his life to save Cyclops after he gave him a new chance at life.

Toad is most definitely not my type of villain but I did think what this show did with him was pretty good, I liked the song choice a lot and the video was great as always. Looking forward to the May program!

One of my favorite Marvel Mutants. After his appearance in the first X-Men movie he has been greatly improved, from being a slimy submissive under Magneto's orders he has had a nice character evolution, and he has become even stronger.

I liked that a lot! Toad is actually my favourite X-Men villain, with this being my favourite version of him. I don't know, I just like the design, the attitude, and how he could be both a threat and comedic relief. I think this video was able to show both those well, especially with his bouncy nature being reflected on the hard notes of the song. Awesome job man!

I really like Toad, I like all the original Brotherhood villains, Toad, Blob, Pyro, Avalanche, Mystique, Juggernaut, Sabretooth and Magneto (though he's less of a villain), no matter how many villains the X-writers create, they'll never outdo these guys.

Started with the movie, then I read the comics, his personality was a lot like mine, everyone thinks he's stupid, but he's just quiet and wants someone to be his friend, eventually he gets sick of everyone's shit and goes truly rogue, but not on a specific side, and his powers are actually really useful, not firing lasers, or a one trick pony like winged flight or Teleporting. Jumping 36 feet, a 25 foot tongue, oozing pheromones, controlling amphibians, constitution and healing, underwater breath, and ya saw him break that iron slab with his legs. He can bench 3 tons with his legs.

@@coryparrish525 ikr? He's even had a super breath strong enough to blow back Wolverine, along with saliva that could be acidic or adhesive. He's honestly underrated character and power set wise. One place I've seen him get the most love is Tumblr. Most nerdy people there adore him and it is honestly the best.

Also, Arkham, the song's lyrics fit the comic's Brotherhood of Mutants story too, as Toad did whatever he could to support Magneto, seeing him as his first friend, but Magneto's constant abuse led to him constantly plotting and betraying him, which fits the "the joke is over and I'll do all the laughing" part. Kudos on a song that fits BOTH narratives.

I haven't yet finish watching X-Men Evolution (Really good stuff so far. Personally enjoy it more than the 90's cartoon) But while I like the show alot I think Toad is kinda just there for me personally. He's not bad but he doesn't wow me either. Then again I haven't finished the show yet so maybe he'll came around for me later on. Either way this was still a well done video for the character so I can appreciate that! Great work again Arkham!

Ah, the "original" Tsuyu Asui. All though I prefer Evolution's Toad and X-Men Evolution over MHA in general. Yeah, got to slander the latter show even though it's more "boring" to me than "bad". All though I don't really know much about Toad as a whole outside of Evolution. He seems to be a jobber a lot of the time like Pyro all though he was kind of amusing in the first X-Men movie for knocking Cyclops shades off and the latter beaming the ceiling of the subway station and of course the infamous, "what happens to a Toad when it gets hit by lightning".

I actually think the two would make a great pair. I call em "Frog N' Toad". The movie version of Toad, the Ray Park version, was friggin awesome. The weird dancing just to fuck with people, crushing a guy with his legs, scaring the senator with that bird snatching trick, and especially badmouthing SABRETOOTH of all people!😅
