Would need tens of thousands more in work to do anything on the drag strip. It was built with one purpose, and that was to kill tires. Great platform imo to build from, but the chassis isn't ready for the power it has. It's also not that powerful compared to the rest of the fleet, especially as it is now.

The 4 stroke still destroyed him mate even with that “instant torque and powerband”. ;) I’ll give you that, I own a yz250 and a yz450f, I gotta say the yz250 is one hell of a fun bike to ride but I prefer my 450f for races as it just does better than the 250. I also prefer the 4 stroke sound, 2 stroke doesn’t sound as gnarly. But both are good engines, I just prefer a 4 stroke by a mile imo.

There’s too many to list what you need to maintain in 2 strokes (talking about dirtbikes here), so perhaps just google it and it’ll be good. Yes 4 strokes cost more to maintain but they require much less maintenance. 2 strokes are also due to rebuild every 8-12 months of racing while a 4 stroke can last up to 2-3 years. There’s a reason why manufacturers are aiming at 4 strokes and 2 strokes are becoming very outdated.

Being a firefighter.... It's true we're used to being in situations like that. But, being completely engulfed in fire like that.... It's not pleasant. You're Nomex hood does have a hole.... You need to be able to see... So I'm sure he might have had some burnt brows and eyelashes.... Plus fire sucks the oxygen out of the air.... So I'm sure he couldn't breath for a second or too... That's why we wear SCBA'S... But usually because of toxic gasses... We do our best not to be engulfed by fire.... He took it like a champ though... 👍
