I vividly remember scaring the absolute crap out of my mom when I told her the Torcon was 5. Of course we made it out without getting hit by any ‘naders (unfortunately), but it was a pretty scary situation. I think the EAS sounded off at least like 5 times within a few hours. Now I’m just pissed because of the fact that my entire school has been begging for snow but good ole’ Dixie said “Snow? Sorry kiddo, not doing that. Have some tornadoes instead!”

Haven’t even watched the whole video, and I’m already thinking it’s really great. Also I don’t remember July’s tornados, I might’ve been somewhere else or it might’ve missed my area, but hey, it’s Alabama, it don’t know what the temperature it wants to be. December was filled with some tiny ones because it was about 60 degrees on Christmas and then a random cold front came in, then... it did the same thing at the near end of December.

as a fellow alabamian, i can confirm it is the most tornado-ridden state. i feel like the birmingham area is always getting tornado watches and warnings even when it’s only supposed to storm... 😂 also right when you said “2011” i was like “oh this is gonna be good.” my dad is one of those ‘naders ain’t nothin’ freaks and went OUTSIDE to take a picture of the tornado that was IN VIEW OF OUR HOUSE THAT LIFTED OUR TRAPOLINE OFF THE GROUND AND THREW IT INTO OUR NEIGHBORS YARD THAT WAS SIX HOUSES DOWN. i was 10 and my sister was 8 and we were both sobbing and screaming at my dad to come inside but he just looked at us and was like “i’ll be fine!” I WAS SO SCARED.
