Finally someone who not only shakes the heck out of the poor toaster but also makes sense on why it doesn’t work and what to do to get it fixed, I didn’t like the pencil eraser but the important point you make was getting the contacts clean (I used sandpaper) which ended up being the problem, after watching at least five DIY videos this one got me to the problem I had, thank you

On my 2nd of this toaster: but, 4 slice. Again, right side died on the warranty one. Fed up.

I take it if “no element glow & no blue light when pressed”…it’s “TOAST”?! Reluctant to take apart if the magnet activation has nothing to do with it. Worked yesterday.

thanks for the video, however my toaster had a bigger problem. the red wire that was tack welded to the element coils was black and broken. I used solder and crimped it, but that doesn't make sense since the elements get hot it will probably melt the solder.
