i went with an rx 7600 steel legend from Asrock. I honestly love the card. The AV1 encoder is nice to use. I do want to see amd release their frame gen to see how well the entry lvl 7600 performs the task. I used it for streaming and it performed better then expected. Happy with the 7600 , certain games ill run 4k on my tv but ideally its a 1080p killer as mentioned.

So, wait. As soon as the cable management is done, I can start uploading games and play it just like you guys did? Fan-freaking-tastic! Well, no, obviously, but there are people out there who'll think so...your vid goes straight from cable management to games, and that's skipping a few steps. You guys're good at showing the hardware side of things, how about some of the software side? The Windows install, partitioning the SSD so that you can actually use it as soon as you turn the system on, maybe some BIOS tips and tricks. You talked in the video about controlling the fan speeds...how exactly do you DO that? I'd love to see more on the software side of things in these "build tutorials", so I'm not just slamming parts together and calling it a day. Thanks!

This is basically my build expect with the GPU being a RTX 4070 and the SSD I went with 2TB SATA Samsung 860 EVO and 1tb Samsung 980 pro NVME for my windows. Power supply was a deep cool PF650 and the cooler was a deep cool AG300. Edit: I spent about $1500 on my build in my country. When using an LGA 1700 in a build guide, I think one Caveat to mention is the flaw in the mounting system which bends the IHS causing thermal issues over time. The only way to correct this is to remove the mounting system entirely and use a contact frame. I don't build on the LGA1700 without one. This improves the longevity of the build for the buyer.

i would actually strongly recommend slapping a heatsink on your nvme drive, especially if its gen 4 those get hot other than that, great build!

they install the fan that way because the vast majority of motherboards(even the one in this video) have a fan connector right there near the bottom of the I/O... for the back fan.

interesting buidl but something liek this would be overkill for a personal home media server and the lack of 2x16 slots would be a hassle as what if i needed to plug in my HBA for some drives there is enough x1 slots as one would be for a tv tuner the other for a nic card so it will be dual nic like i could watch tv and backup my laptop to my personal server as the load can be better balanced

Especially, if it's higher wattage AND more efficient (Bronze vs Gold) for the same cost. They are literally hawking a budget build and there are better/cheaper options available. Same build, save $20 have a more efficient PSU with 150w of upgrade space to swap GPU down the road.

Is it okay to use a 8pin cpu power cable in a 4pin motherboard socket it plugs in fine my power supply only has 8 pin cpu block 😢

To use the 4 pin connector on motherboards usually your 8 pin cpu cable will split in half. If it doesnt split then your psu just might not have cables like that. And 4 pin cpu connectors dont need to be used if its extra unless your overclocking but even then it might not be nessessary

I live in the PNW. We have 4 season. I live a hour from the coast. 1 hour from the mountains. 45 minutes from a large city 625k. I have fast internet. Cheap electric. No sales tax. Mostly the state is conserve except for the 3 biggest city’s & college towns. They are very liberal. Issue with homelessness, & hard drugs. Weed is legal. Also income taxes are higher than most. Lg comic con in Sept. We have season but it doesn’t prevent you from going outside. No real issues with lack of water of it tasting bad straight from the facet. I can be a challenge to find affordable housing but that’s the whole west coast. International Airport to get you any were in the country. Also top rated. I have lived in CA, CO, FL, HI & OR. The last is my fav. Used to be CA but it too expensive and to many issues now that have taken the charm away. East coast has too many people but lots of options. I really don’t like living far away from the coast but if that not a issue the mid-west could be a good choice aside from tornados.

I just got done building a very strong system for slightly over $700. NO AMD! I bought RTX 3060ti for the same price as the Radeon. Putting the PSU at the bottom of the case is one of the dumbest ideas manufacturers ever came up with. Heat rises. So that PSU fan is near useless in venting the case.

mid range pcs cost from $900-$1400, so it’s like the highest price that still falls under the budget category. obviously not everyone can spend that and you get an enjoyable gaming experience far under that price but it all really depends on what you’re looking for in a computer
