Funny vid :D Just an FYI hunger only does two things, cause your stomach to rumble alerting the hunter (similar to how they get alerted when you eat) and force you into bipedal mode. If your not bothering to pretend to be a normal deer you can basically ignore it. That said you WANT to pretend to be a normal deer because the hunter loses a chunk of sanity if they shoot a normal deer and recover sanity when they kill a player deer. Oh and the hunters bow can basically shoot across the entire island so the deer are only safe from arrows if theres a physical barrier between them and the hunter if the hunter is skilled enough. I'm not sure but I think using your "dash" ability drains a chunk of hunger.
