His Prince Philip accent had this wonderful kind of sarcastic drawl like a “ewww” and a perfect “scoff” His acting on the Moon Landing episode was some of the best I’ve seen. Very attractive, intelligent and talented guy.

he's incredible in Outlander - i usually dont watch this sort of show. but the way he portrait an evil man AND a good man both to the extreme and make them believable in one show ... i never seen such thing. His Phillip is so good i watch the episode that win emmy for him so many times

I was expecting a nomination for the Prince Philip centric episode on season 3… it’s a bit interesting that he ended up being nominated for an episode and even a season where he doesn’t have such a prominent presence, and a more supportive one. But yes, he deserved the nomination a long time ago for his work in outlander. It’s a wonderful show

I agree - the ‘Moondust’ episode was an incredible turn on Menzies’ part. But I think his portrayal of Prince Phillip reflects exactly that: a more supportive role. That was the essence of his character, and though it’s amazing to get to see ego and the greater good battle it out inside of him in Season 3, it’s as much of a treat to see it begin to resolve in 4. There’s much strength in acceptance, and Menzies’ performance reminds us of that so gracefully. I loved, too, the scenes between Prince Phillip and Diana. An interesting dynamic there. Everyone on that show just did such a beautiful job of humanizing it all. 👏🏻

It always irks me that Tobias always gets cast in roles that present him as stodgy and older. Sure, it's a testament to his skills and talent but I wish he could stretch and show us the range surely he's capable of.
