This mix is just incredibly beautiful. The shades, colors and textures are just so diverse and delicately balanced. There are parts which cause me to erupt in goosebumps and bring me close to tears with a weird mix of melancholy and euphoria. This is the majesty​ which encapsulates what the ecstatic experience. Reminds me of those visuals on Windows Media Player when I was 4 and played Hillary Duff's "So Yesterday" and Brittany Spears' "Oops I did it again" in the DVD drive. +tEMMIE I was around 10 during that era, and I used to listen to similar crap. Not girlish pop though, but commercial crap, yeah. Using Windows Media Player. The glorious days of Windows ME, when playing DVDs in your computer was the shit, and getting your paper stuck in your printer would be enough reason for your kernel to panic and BSoD on you... I miss those days. I have a VM with Windows ME on it. But it's not the same. Winamp was also around, even earlier than that. And yeah, milkdrop... I always preferred the advanced visualization studio tho. Not so smooth, but you could also make your own, and there is amazing stuff like rollercoasters, cars driving on mountains and even an architectural "studio" :P. Not really "visual", but it's fun to toy with.

yeah me too, im not sure why it irritates me so much, i think what it is is the fact that its a commercialised version of underground music, its like someone is highjacking the underground sound and making a pop version that everyone suddenly thinks is new and hip and the mainstream lap it up, and that just gets on my tits. I had a friend of mine going on about seeing kalvin harris and how great it was - this immensly irritated me its like he thought hed been to a rave.

a lot of people who are interested in edm think that its the ''new'' thing and so they just follow the crowd, but without actually knowing all the ins and outs of it, like how drugs play a big part etc. their interest is misplaced because they dont know any better, particularly young kids. but people who were born before edm would know that edm has taken over... its no even good music, its just a basic melody and basic bassline and people are too quick to show their interest. it annoys me how easy it is these days to make a really bad song turn into a supposedly good song with the use of technology. e.g. singers who have really bad voices, so they use technology to disguise how bad their voice is.

and the musicians are like con artists, conning people by the masses into thinking its actually good music. and so companies back them up and churn out millions from what is actually bad music. it gets covered by social media, news etc as to influence peoples thoughts and so the new ''norm'' is edm, but its not that good. i think its really bad how such bad music can be hyped up to make people think its good. I think nowadays no-one really truly understands what they are listening to, its just that theyve've been misled and influenced that way. but really they are being tricked so that commercial enterprises end up better off. edm is vulgar music.
