Actually, Turkey could be nearly 2316 years old too, because he always changed his name but Turks existed since b. c. 300. Also, do anyone remembers Mongolia from the episode Russia and Friends? He must be Turkey's Brother or Cousin, Hungary might be his cousin too. Because all three's origins came fron the same empire: the Huns.(However, Hungary had a dad, so that makes the Hun Empire her uncle, I think.) If the Hun Empire existed as a canon character, that would make him Turkey's Dad or Grandpa. I don't think Turkey would be called "old man" only because his physical age. But that's mine also a several fans' headcanon though, you don't have to agree.

Technically speaking, first people of turkic language family to have what at least nearly resembles turkish culture were Seljuks, however, modern Turkey is a straightforward descedant of the Ottoman empire. Both Seljuks and Oghuz Turks (ancestors of modern Turks) are both culturaly and in language too far away from Huns to consider any real connection between them. Same way Mongolia and Hungary - Mongolia was founded by Gengis khan in 13 Century AD, while Hungary by Arpad in 10 Century, and neither of them is in any way connected to Atilla...
