Did you demo an Avant or did you just know you wanted the Giant? How does it do on soft wet grass? How about hill stability? Tipping? Likes? Dislikes?

I did demo an Avant. I bought Giant sight unseen based on what I knew and was told was different. I love my Giant. Would buy again and again. Pros: - well balanced, even without attachment (avant to light in front without attachments) - Giant can fit sideways on my front deck of trailer (avant too long and wheel hydraulics on avant too weak compared to Giant) - Giant is all metal (fiberglass on Avant and easily damaged doing tree work) - Giant you sit on back and not being slung around like on an Avant. - nice joystick controls and much easier to get the hang of - I like the pedal set up for acceleration and forward/reverse is one the joystick, so easy - I can get through a 40" in gate withought my dually tires on. Cons: - so compact it is hard to service engine - pins on attachment do jot have good levers to grab to unlock attachment (avant has a better system on this)

@@nathanctaylor86 Nathan thank you for your review. Do you mind telling me what state you live in? I ask because I'm in West Virginia. I worry about being on properties that aren't flat. I had a Giant owner in South Carolina tell me he wouldn't recommend a Giant because of my hilly terrain. He said especially with a heavy load in bucket it gets very tippy & has roll over potential. What's your experience with that? Thank you

@@aj12271 we do not have as hilly terrain here in MS, but it is stable. You can lock in the oscillation and just know the limits of your machine. The Avant is a good machine and very stable. It just wasn't a good fit for me. Try to demo one if you can!

My machine has dually turf tires so it does great on grass, but not in mud. Gets stuck easy with the turf tires if too wet, but so easy on turf otherwise.

@@nathanctaylor86 would you mind posting a pic of your Giant with the dual wheels?
