Rommel is a man that creates sterotypes. So units in the British Empire were better than others. Some fought in Africa, some were in Sicily and Italy, and some were saved to help support the Normandy campaign. Crass generalisations don't work here. It depends upon the unit. Aussies earned stripes in North Africa yes, but by 44' Montgomery didn't really care where his troops came from.

NEVER QUOTED BY ROMMEL. no such thing was said by the man and it is not in any print, he did , however, in a letter home to his wife and also in his memoirs make a point of noting that " Australian soldiers are an elite of the British Empire as evident in battle against them" THAT he DID say!

As an Australian, I am so happy that our armed forces are finally being shown the respect they deserve. Between Battlefield 1 showing Gallipoli and CoD Vanguard showing Tobruk, having shown to the world how brave our ANZACs were, how cruel British officers were to them and the true meaning of mateship, it makes me proud.

During this moment in history, the German army, even the one under the Desert Rat Rommel were a highly experienced, extremely capable fighting force that had acclimatized with combat with great discipline and synchronization. The British Empire and her commonwealth troops were much much less experienced or literally green in comparison to the battle hardened Germans. This was down to the British Army being the most neglected compared to the Navy and the Air Force due to the horrors of WW1, making the Army the least likely to be funded for a future war. Hence, Tobruk, El Alamein were the "learning curve" which Churchill wanted for the British Army and the commonwealth armies. A very tough experience and all thanks to the vets who gave their all against all odds, so that the tide can be turned against the forces of the Nazis and Italians.

The landscape is really good graphically, you have to admit that to the developers...unfortunately it was already! Extremely many bugs, every round is visually different skis, opponents appear as black lumps and, unlike predecessor, weapons are simply modest! The old Battleroyal at MW was the killer and recorded billions... why they destroyed it, for a half-finished reprint, I don't understand. Will bring the game to the Game Stop next week and hopefully get a fraction of the purchase price back. Battlefield and CoD are both a toilet this year!!!
