While Sunny is depressed due to losing his sister, Kris is sad because they feel ignored or not properly treated/raised by their adoptive family… and of course being dragged around by a SOUL that isn't their own, so Sunny is worse off because he's capable of committing suicide. Whether Kris would consider self-harm is not yet known.

Well, in the game there actually is close connections between dark worlds and dreams, specially when Kris sleeps to get to the pure darkness world plus castle town, and also how you wake up Every-time you close a fountain, it does have a sort of mystical aspect to it since it involves concepts like the soul and magic, and it is very possible it’s an underlying reality, but yeah there’s still that dream connection

I fucking LOVE that Toby Fox and OMOCAT as game devs have all these connections (OMOCAT actually helped with the music video for a Deltarune secret!!!) I adore it because while yes, their RPG games are similar, they're so distinctly separate in their stories and are wonderfully compelling works of fiction that I have ever seen. I will always love the three games equally in my heart.

if I had a nickel for every time I played a game where the the main protagonist is pretty silent and wields a knife and used to be in a small group of friends that included at least two sets of siblings, of which said group had a little sibling within it who’s older brother, who’s away at college, has their side of their shared room decorated with many awards whilst the little sibling has hardly any, and said friend group fell apart after the older sister within the group unwillingly left in some sort of way, leading to the main protagonist to be more reclusive and eventually lead into the events of the game where you swap between the entirely real world and some sort of different world that takes inspiration from real things/characters for its characters, where the main protagonist travels alongside their friends who’s skin and hair are not their regular colors and they wear different clothing, I’d have two nickels. It’s not a lot but it’s weird it happened twice.

@@subparlario4916 actually just fought Jevil yesterday and first time I lost because I was surprised and didn’t expect his attack pattern to be so devious, but I defeated him the second try by pacifying him with Ralsei BARELY (Kris and Susie were dead and Ralsei had just been revived and has like 35 hp or less) so can confirm he was a tricky one, but Spamton Neo was a lot like Mettaton Ex so I was able to do it first time via snapping.

@@MaxKarmaCat it depends, best way i can describe yume nikki is that it's like black space, but infinite, it's very exploration heavy, it can get boring at times, and it doesn't really have a story line, but the game itself is an experience i feel like everyone should play it atleast once. Another game that inspired them is Off, which is also pretty plot and exploration heavy. The battlesystem can suck at times but the games artstyle is so good it's worth it.

i can actually see the resemblances now. the whole travelling in-between a regular small town and a colorful fantasy RPG world with quirky characters can both be used to describe OMORI and deltarune it's even down to the different color palettes for the main cast, and the different stats for kris though taking in what toby said, i think deltarune was going to be EVEN MORE similar before toby found out about OMORI. maybe the dark world was going to be more like HEADSPACE, with lots of places connected to one huge world..? it's something to think about !!

Both games have some sort of dream world with dream characters, where real world physics are different. Both are also earthbound inspired indie games, have fun and interesting characters with fun villains within minor dream plots overlooked by one real world plot. (In omori, the minor plots consist of space boyfriend, sweetheart, mrjawsum and humphrey, with sunny’s truth and him overcoming it would be the real world, overlying plot, while as in deltarune, the minor plots could be king, queen, with the real world big plot being whatever kris does to their heart every night.) Both games are also split into multiple sections/chapters, both games are related to the protagonist’s childhood, and while omori is the only one confirmed to have a sad bittersweet ending/plot, I imagine deltarune should have something similar, considering both Undertale and Fox talking about how he was inspired to make the game because of the fact that he once dreamed of the ending to deltarune, showing that it must be something good, and something emotional. Considering all of this, one can say that deltarune and omori and incredibly similar, despite being both games, since I highly doubt there is any other “sorta-famous” game that is this similar to deltarune/omori. It makes sense that Toby Fox would’ve been afraid people would say that he copied OMORI, since in his eyes the game was much more in development. This is probably why by 2016-2018 he was like “Ok so my previous game was really popular and also OMORI probably not coming out for the next 4 decades so I should just make deltarune now!!! And people won’t say omori copied my game because it started development before deltarune!!!” I’m guessing that’s probably what happened. Maybe he made a song for OMORI, put OMOCAT’s name in undertale’s credits, referenced the merry CD in deltarune and made a music video with her and itoki hana all in an effort to emphasize the fact that they are friends and they don’t steal from each other. Maybe.

Well, Omari and Deltarune became completely different games with the same inspiration. Omari became a psychological horror with a rock, paper, and scissor mechanic based around emotions. Well, Deltarune is an alternate world where new dark dimensions appear in each chapter. Usually based around particular place, and the two characters mostly connected to that place.

I’ve already commented this on another video, but the creepy underground areas where the secret bosses are found feel very similar to Black Space. It’s as if all the jolly adventure of the Dark World is just a façade desperately trying to deny the truths buried below. And unlike Sunny, we still don’t know what that truth is…

I do feel like DeltaRune's themes of escapism into the Dark World are gonna line up quite a bit with those of OMORI. I can't wait to see how it really goes, though. Knowing Toby, it's gonna be something interesting.

Me after playing both games: 👁️👄👁️ THESE WERE WAY DIFFERENT OTHER THAN LIKE SOME CHARACTERS BEING SIMILAR However the entirety of deltarune isn’t out yet soooooo who knows if it’ll get darker like omori
