This is sad news. I hoped Toby would beat the cancer. I loved this song when it first came out. My dad had a CD with this song on it. We used to listen to this one and “I Love This Bar” all the time when we would drive anywhere together. My dad died almost 3 years ago. I’m truly feeling melancholic about Toby Keith’s passing. His loved ones have my condolences.

I used to work at an Auto parts store one day I was listening to my favorite country station because we rule, whoever got to work first got to play their station for the first 3 hours of the day. So these big buff dudes come in, grab their items, come to my register because I was the cashier of the day and asked me "What's wrong lil sis... The man won't let you listen to your music?!" My best friend who was the manager of the day heard him and said "Actually that's HER station and we've been trying to get her to turn it for the past hour." A friend of mine and I used to sing this going down the hall to our cars after work each Friday. We introduced this song to our coworkers as we were the only two that liked or listened to country music. They picked up on it really fast because they, like my friend and I, liked to party. So the parking lot where we worked became our meeting place to get the party started by figuring where we'd meet for our party on Fridays after work and we sing a round. Last saw him in CT, autumn time....went home and checked for tix for the following year, which probably weren't on sale yet.
