Great looking tank - everything in balance and looking healthy. Lots of nice plant growth keeps nitrates down = less frequent water changes which is always a bonus.

I like this video, I like it because it is a year review of the tank and how you've had different fish and plants in one year.

Nice that you keep your tanks for a longer period of time. Its amazing observing what happens during a year or two, not just make and break in 2-3 months.
@TobyCreates3 жыл бұрын
Definitely, when it comes to smaller tanks, I don’t mind them being more temporary, but with a big planted tank I definitely think it’s nice to see it evolve over a longer lifespan

I’ve never been a fan of Bow front aquarium as it distorts everything if you view it on an angle, do you find that?
@TobyCreates3 жыл бұрын
I was a little worried about it, but unless I’m looking at a very specific angle, it’s not noticeable at all. The only time I really realize it is when I’m filming at an angle

Have you thought of putting sponge filters in the tanks. They can save you a lot of money. I bought them a year ago from the Co Op , and they're great!
@TobyCreates3 жыл бұрын
I have sponge filters in my quarantine tank and my shell dweller tank, and they work great for those purposes. However, in my opinion, I think that they can disturb the look of an aquascape and take up a good amount of space. They are great methods of filtration, but they don’t usually work for the kind of set ups I like to do
@marlonf.naranjo61023 жыл бұрын
@@TobyCreates Yeah, they can get in the way sometimes. But everyone has their own personal favorite. Good job

I have sponge filters in all of my tanks, too. I use them along with other filters in the same tanks - they add great longevity to the biosphere not to mention infusoria for babies. Also instant cycling when you move them around to add to new tanks.

Thank you for sharing this tank. I want to upgrade to a 36 from a 20 Topfin tank. I love my tank, but want a nice size, not too big, not too small. I want to get some cichlids for the 36. I think you should try some cichlids too!!
@87Aquarian2 жыл бұрын
I bought this setup a year ago on the 1st of July for $129 on sale and I have loved it so far! I will say the top fin heater is not submersible which makes it harder to hide especially being silver. It died after about 4 months of use. I switched to a 300W aqueon submersible heater and haven't had any issues since. I do use the lid as I house Killifish that love to jump!

Nice tank man,my 36 gallon bow fronts light recently became dead so I had to create a custom lid and bought a top fin 30 inch light. It sucks that they don't sell the lid on the general market

Do the bent brackets make enough pressure against the glass so the light doesn’t fall into the water? Like how safe is it? I like the way it looks but I’m afraid of accidents.

@PhoenixRising2040 glad to hear. I just got this tank last week and saw all the bad reviews online. Does your tank have a rim at the top? Or is it rimless like in this video?
@PhoenixRising20404 ай бұрын
@alexanderr4475 mine has both rims, I personally wouldn't risk a rimless bow front, but I'm fairly inexperienced with tank holding capabilities, I'm about to rebuild a 90g I just acquired with bad seams but anxiety has prevented me from busting out the silicone 😅
@alexanderr44754 ай бұрын
@PhoenixRising2040 looks like you got the newer version of this tank. I bought mine second hand just last week and it is like the one in the video. No top rim. I am scared to fill it up with water after seeing all the reviews.
