His son died of an accidental overdose. The images of Toby hugging empty arms really get me. I can relate some, from when I sent my foster son back to his bio parents, after him being with me for over two years, knowing that they weren't safe. I had many nights praying for him with my arms aching for him. He did come back to me but only after some serious trauma.

Holy crap. Tobymac that's a name I haven't heard since I was 12. Saw him live at eo jongerendag (huge cristian concert in the Netherlands) something like 20 years ago. Same show had Michael w Smith as headliner. Was a great show.

Only a REAL, Loving, God could give Toby Mac the capability to write something so raw and then put it out here for everyone to see in such a short time after Tru's death. It's gut wrenching to watch his pain as he is literally screaming it out after the bridge. As a Mama of 6 and having worked with him in his DC-Talk days, it breaks my heart for him and his family, no matter how long it is between views. The pain never goes away. But in Christ we have Hope, without Him, we have nothing. Joshua 1:9
