Brother Toby, I came here to pay closer attention to this song after hearing of the painful loss of your eldest son. I cant imagine the pain and sorrow your experiencing now. As your songs have lifted us up many times, and brought us closer to our creator via your lyrics and praises, i cant think of music to lift you up, or sing you a song, but i can definitely sing you a prayer. May the Mighty hands of our creator, hold you, uplift you and bring you comfort, so you may continue sharing your talent and gift with the world. Our family has much in common with the Mckeean's . Reading about Toby's relationship and the story of this song floored me. God I feel so much LOVE for these fellow Christians. Day's ago I watched my child singing at Liberty University and thought about this family. Then to hear this song . It's our relationship with our daughter. Toby and Family, I want to tell you that there are no words to say about this that will make you feel better. The old saying Time heals all wounds is a myth and certainly does not apply here. I know there is nothing worse than losing a child, I know your lives are forever changed and there will be nothing normal again. Time simply provides the ability to ease the pain yet never takes it away. Being in the industry you're in and filling our lives with words of peace, encouragement and comfort, I cannot even fathom where and when you will return to work. No one can, nor should anyone try. You know our Creator, His Son and The Holy Spirit which is the only way to be able to rise up and carry on. This process will take much time and much prayer to live with but you will live and you must live on though it stinks to above and beyond. This upcoming season will be tough to deal with and even tougher to try and observe. One day at a time, one step at a time, and even one scripture at a time. I speak from Experience and the only way I can offer assistance is to speak truthfully and openly. I was told a year later that I must stop looking for life like it was and face up that the life that was is gone and the new normal is here. Take your time, pray and reflect on things, make no rash decisions or as little as decisions that can be made. Your family has joined a club that one ever aspires to join. I am truly sorry this happened and wish you all the peace that only God can give.

Toby and family I kind of know what you are going through because I have two brothers and two brothers - in - law and getting was and are hard to take at times but your song helps to get through. now I have to get through my dad's death last June, My dad's only brother's death in last September and then my mom's death on the 21st of April of this year I an still trying to get so them heal them wounds which will become scars when they are healed.
