Playing Bach's Toccata in D minor is an unimaginable achievement for me. Just two years ago, I didn't even know where D was on a piano. Now, not only do I play Bach's Toccata, but I also understand and enjoy it. I started learning it to improve finger dexterity in both hands, without thinking I could actually finish it. Gradually, I allowed myself to be carried away, trying to interpret some parts with conviction and others with delicacy, certain sections softly and others more forcefully, sometimes faster and other times slower, but always feeling every moment.
I'm aware that the performance is far from perfect (in fact, there are some mistakes in the arpeggios at the end with diminished chords, I pause, and they go slowly), but experiencing each note until reaching the final chord with such intensity is priceless. To this day, Bach's Toccata in D minor is one of the pieces I enjoy interpreting the most.
I started learning to play the piano approximately 1 year and 10 months ago, starting from absolute zero, all thanks to the musihacks courses and @JaimeAltozano. A thousand thanks to Jaime because he is an incredible teacher, simply the best. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to play the piano.
