I think Tocc deserves some credit there too. The new systems have given Myers better outlet options when he goes back to pick up the puck. He's not struggling to find someone to dish it off to like he used to.

Dude look at his linemates. Mikheyev 1 goal in 60 games, Hollander zero points in playoffs, -4, now scratched.. replaced by Linus Karlsson, minor leaguer. Coach has to eat some of the blame here, you gotta put people in best possible situations to succeed.

Tocchet is bullying Petey out of the team, setting him up for failure. He gave him three games with Lindholm before he parted them, a couple of games with Garland and Joshua and now it’s only bottom six players available for Petey.

“With Petey, all fairness to him, I’m not sure he’s getting sometimes the help he needs, but saying that, he can still drive play a little bit better, y’know move his feet, I think be a bit more dynamic he’s got the skillset, so I think that’s a two part question y’know but winning that face off to tie the game was big for us” is about as diplomatic as anyone could possibly be. Mikheyev, Lafferty and Höglander all had 10 goals halfway through the season and when Petey was leading the league in scoring it was largely with those guys and sometimes Kuzmenko who wasn’t any better, so it’s not like they’re complete stiffs. For whatever reason they haven’t produced at the same level in the playoffs, hopefully they’re due for a breakthrough in these next games.

Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Play hard but calm, don’t give the oilers as much space. Tocchet hit it on the head speaking about the Canucks assertiveness. Can’t play around or chase the oilers.

I really wish the interviewer would ask about Ian Cole and why is he playing for the Oilers? When he's on the ice, your down a man and he cost you the last 4 games even though 2 of them they won barely. He has own goals. He cannot clear for nothing. Take off Ian Cole and you'll win easily.

I don’t think it’s that simple. Cole is getting some of the hardest possible assignments and if you ask guys like Juulsen or Friedman to do what he does it’s not going to go much better. Yeah Cole is -3 and has had some bad luck with pucks going off him but compare Nurse at -7 and 9.25million a year and we absolutely have a shot.

Boeser, Hughes, Joshua with even less experience are pulling their weight and then some. None of those guys are signed to generational type money. No more excuses. Play Lindholm and Hogs with Pettersson. It's insane how this organization has to coddle and shelter a so called superstar. Strip the A, if he can't produce points then at the very least lead by example and hustle, show some fight you little pissant. He cant even face the media for christsake. He has the next three games to show he has the balls and compete level to warrant ANY ice time in the playoffs. Times up, a 1m per goal pace is simply unacceptable.

Tochets the one coach the keeps it real and down to earth. One of the best coaches the team could ask for. He can’t say the things you want to hear on camera he’s media trained. Gotta watch what you say on TV and the league. He transformed the team and I bet the issues you want highlighted he’s doing. The only thing I don’t agree with is why Ian Cole’s still playing. But his line changes have been great so far.

I highly doubt that, he coached them from being predicted to not make the playoffs to sitting tied 2-2 in the second round against the team everyone gave the best odds of winning the cup at the start of the year. I think it's easy to forget what was actually expected of this team in October. Honesty and accountability also builds trust. There's a reason why a lot of players respect coaches like John Tortorella even though a casual fan might assume he's hated.
