and you will know the truth, says the Lord.

Gospel: John 14:7-14
Jesus said to his disciples: “If you had known me, certainly you would also have known my Father. And from now on, you shall know him, and you have seen him.” Philip said to him, “Lord, reveal the Father to us, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him: “Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known me? Philip, whoever sees me, also sees the Father. How can you say, ‘Reveal the Father to us?’ Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I am speaking to you, I do not speak from myself. But the Father abiding in me, he does these works. Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? Or else, believe because of these same works. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me shall also do the works that I do. And greater things than these shall he do, for I go to the Father. And whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you shall ask anything of me in my name, that I will do.”

Prayer: Providential Lord, Your will is perfect and glorious. Please help me to humble myself before You, every day, so that I will understand Your will for my life and choose it always. May I be an instrument of Your saving grace to all whom You wish to touch through me. Jesus, I trust in You.

A very relevant reflection to the point of our faith. The works which our Lord ask of us to do, is the fulfillment of the journey He shared with us in His life in the flesh. Through His death and resurrection He allowed us to be the perfect messenger to exacting His message to the world. Our confession and the repentance of our sins make us the perfect messenger to bring those who seek to know Him into the family of believers. It brings forth from us the truth that while we are sinners, He understands and is forgiving and loving as a Father should be. A life in Christ is a life of understanding. Understanding that we are all one and that as such we are to love one another in the uncertain times as well as the good times. Our imperfect nature in the flesh is at a constant tug of war with our spiritual beliefs and faith. Jesus Christ has promised us that He would always be present to help us in carrying the burden of that struggle simply by asking. This is the message that we are called upon to spread. We are loved and cared for by a God who will never leave us or forsake us. He provides each one of us with the hope and joy of an eternal life in His presence!🙏💖🕊🕊🕊🕊
